wait until we get this patch coming up there not worried about current bugs caused by the disbaled/ half working systems. and this client is horrble unoptimized it was strictly for dysync testing really.

see you seems to forget the game was perectly playble during the open beta except for the dysync causing more issues. plus there some other stuff they needed to do like balance and add better pve more mobs and stuff.

They havent patched this newest client yet

Amusing, yet sad. Game had such great potential at first, but with all the technical issues, as well as some other decisions theyve made along the way the game seems just destined to fail, or at best have a small niche following who can stand playing through all the bugs in hopes of them one day finally being fixed.

isn't that pretty much whats been said for many months now. Every patch / supposed fix = just wait until next patch, then it will be fixed for sure.

Do not forget what was stated for that patch. "During this step we have disabled almost all features to be able to make sure the core in the network structure is working correctly."  Henrik Nystromimageimageimage

So,  almost all features were disabled fling pigs was to expected during that patch.  The patch was to fix desycn only.  They probably took this time to fix alot of the bugs in game.  image

That's just EPIC...  Let's remember they are now 13 days from release.  Don't worry though.. SV has said that the NEXT patch will (once again) fix everything.

They'll release the patch and then take a 1 week 'needed' vacation.

I really hope this game flops hard, it needs to. It has a lot of potential but all of this potential will not come to pass with the current developer. Basically all MO is doing is giving more basis that the idea of releasing a game almost completely unfinished is OKAY - Because at least a couple of people will defend it (it'll get fix! Trust in the devs! Give them more money! They need more money to make this game good!), heard it all before.

Get you facts straight SV did not say it will fix everything.  "We have been doing extensive in house testing with a QA team to get our release features a lot more stable before we patch them to the live test server."-Henrik Nystrom.image

Above poster, why bother even defending such a game? I don't follow these indie games any more, for this very reason. They're produced by amateur developers. I'm sorry, but its the truth. Companies like this are trying to make a quick buck off the PC MMO market. Can you imagine something like what we just watched in that Youtube video trying to pas Q&A for a Microsoft or Sony release, on their respective Consoles? Not a ice-cubes hope in Hell.

Amateur companies, making rubbish games off the hopes and dreams of wishful thinking gamers jaded by the constant and un-relenting release of hyperbole and empty promises. Do yourselves a favour and look away from games like this, as a customer you're entitled to a working product, defending games like this ( while is admirable in a sense) only fills un-deserving developers pockets with cash.

Above poster, I remember when AAA companies were the evil empire and indies were the saving grace of the industry. Now that people realise that indie = amatuer, everyone is more than welcome to buy every madden ever made, till the end of time.

I for one will always watch indie games, because I know what to expect. Something new, and something broken. it doesn't hurt my feelings in the least bit, because all I needs is the breath of fresh air to cut through the added frustration.

MO is an ok game, and i had way more fun with it than I did with Warhammer. The only things I hated was the bugs and other players, in fact, i can solely relate to every issue i had with it as something another player caused. Goddamn jagoffs.

Above poster (aren't we fancy), that is - of course - your prerogative. I however, would never pay for something as gash as what I saw in that Youtube video. This is not to say however, that there aren't Indie developers out there making a decent effort and changing things with some element of passion involved in the process. I see no passion whatsoever in MO.

From what I heart though, Arenanet are making a solid commitment to shaking things up within the MMO community with Guild Wars 2.

Yet.. you speak in the past tense about the game.. even though it hasn't released yet?  Have you decided to stop playing?  before launch?

Duh. I had fun with it for a bit, but man I just do not fit in with the crowd that plays it.

Still way more fun than my run with WAR (even Aion), which I only played for a fraction as long, comparably. ~and I actually paid for those.

Without amateur developers the gameing industry would not be were it is right now.  It is the AAA company that are only trying to make a quick. Look at World of Warcaft it is the same repetitive motion over, and over.  Lets not forget that Gaming community is a niche group.  It is that the AAA found that they can make game like Guitar Hero,  WoW, Etc.  Also that now they can barely make sequals to they games, but when games were made by indie companies they made plenty of sequals.  Like King Quest 1-7, Space Quest 1-6, Etc.  If they just want to make money then they would make a WoW clone.  Since you only started playing games in 1989, then you missed the Golden Age of gaming.

Have to disagree with you there GTwander, MO has to be my worst MMO experience behind AOC and STO.
