Too many disappointments over the last couple of years so from now on Im keeping my expectations low.
I will never again buy into hype.
I'm with this guy.
People need to realise that MMO devs don't care about you, they just want your money. Hyping a game and releasing little tit-bits of info to get your gaming-schlong hard is how they do it.
I'll wait til something is released that has an adult theme that kids won't care about playing.
Why are there so many cutesie, fantasy, childish MMO's. Give me blood, gore and a long lasting challenge. I don't need my hand being held along the way. Thanks.

Agree 200% with these guys. I've been burned way too many times to buy into anymore hype. I will wait until something is released from now on before I get all excited and buy into the crap all these game companies spew out. I am tired of paying 45-60 bucks or more, just to be handed garbage like D&L, Darkfail and MO.
They sold us a half-baked Fail-sauced pizza. * With a side of monthly fee!
But I will wait for the release and see if there is a trial option for any of the games first. And read articles and a few player feedbacks prior to any actuall spending of my hard earned $$$. It has been to many flops in the past and the commercial hype that has evolved around many of the games is missleading in many ways. I blame the huge distribution companies for all the bad games released lately, it is a race for them to release a game before any other title to the market as soon as possible. Sadly it is more quantity then quality games released these days. Many unfinished products that is not tested and corrected that reach the market to early due to the stress and unhuman demands on the game studios from there investors and main owners.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
Pretty much World of Darkness Online. I'm keeping "Copernicus" and the Warhammer 40K MMO on my radar as well. If I don't like either of those three games I'm done with MMOs until there is a drastic change in the way they are made.
I've already started getting back into painting miniatures for table-top wargaming and just finished painting the 18 minis for my 1000pt. Koborlas (Werewolves) army for Warlord. Gonna take them for a spin later on this evening.
"Many nights, my friend... Many nights I've put a blade to your throat while you were sleeping. Glad I never killed you, Steve. You're alright..."
TERA for me. The dodge/block at will, movement speed based on class/size on both players and NPC's, and free form targeting has me intrigued, especially seeing as spells are still hard to dodge as anyone that's not a Warrior (rogue) still, and to anyone that says the warrior isn't a rogue, the scout is, hate to say it, but the scout is a ranger
I'm waiting for a RoboTech / MechWarrior / BattleTech type MMO based on all the mechanics of the Mech systems. Also I want it to be able to get out of the Mechs and walk around cities or other places.

Xsyon is dead. Turned into a huge disappointment.
So for 2010:

TOR
TSW
If both of those are fails then I think its time to admit the genres dead before it truly began.
Either carbon clones of game X or a genre that is near impossible to inovate in and stray to far from the norm within.
Tera
GW2
and maybe Rift.
the rest are meh for me.

The previous statement is true
SWTOR
1) Guild Wars 2
2) TERA
With not much more than two interviews Arenanet generated a pretty big hype, where other makers pay zillions for marketing. Impressive.
Guild Wars 2
End of Nations
Not really looking forward. Settling back into LOTRO. I might get swtor, but I am not in a hurry.
