MO is running out of cash, and is releasing soon, it's gonna go down as the most bugg,y half-finished game ever released, but if they can pull through the crisis, and win the crowd in the end, then you have a game.
I'm pretty sure you just fired up mortal online like yesterday, and thought, wow, this is great!... Everyone have that feeling when they fire up a new game, it's only matter of time before it wears off, then you'll see the teethless junkie, behind the supermodel appearence.
You thought to yourself, "Hey, im gonna make an account on mmorpg.com, and sling around my fanboyism, and that'll make everyone see how great this game really is" Everyone here knows better though.
The problem today are kids who have no problem buying half baked games, with mamma's credit card. publisher's see this trend, and if they make cash why not just keep doing it. They only need to make half a product, then promise that you'll get the other half later, but you pay full price.
Then they tweak the game a bit, add some minor patches, people get's pissed off cause they don't add more content and leave, and they'll start their next project, which is gonna be the same crap. MMO gamers are the laughing stock in the buisness world, easiest prey ever.

Ill give the game couple of slack and from my UO experience im damm sure this one will become a big hit , If you never experienced UO in its glory days you shouldnt comment on this game and go back to play WoW because not a single player who did play back then would say a bad thing about this game , if you dont like it fine , its not your niche game theres a billion f2p asian games on the market that mimic what you like to play , plus some even give you awsome fair even arena PvP ( laugh ). This game is 900 times more promising than the pityfull Startrek online , that game compared to Eve is a joke, you people love functioning overhyped i win button games . Have a nice day , thx devs for this Bomb game.
OP created an account and now has one post to say this. He's flame baiting nothing more lol. No one from UO would even consider posting something like this about MO. Funny post, I give it 7.5/10. Would have been even better if you talked about how poloshed MO was that would have made it a 10/10.
Also agree with the poster above me. SV seems to have a Viral marketing campaigne going on. Least thats my experience with the sudden wave of locked and deleted threads followed by freshly made accounts with 1 post giving glowing reviews following shortly after lol. Do keep in mind I'm not saying they "DO"I said it merely seems like they have one going on atm.
Qb3rt, do you think you deserve a little more respect than other posters here? Because that's what I understand just by reading your chosen title for the rant.
For you information, some people here (I just guess now) are not 12-15 years old. I have played my 1st PC game in '96, so I could easily call myself an old-school gamer, right? I know the internet since having a 2KB download speed was awesome, and an mp3 download would take the better part of the night.
That doesn't give me special rights, or default-earned respect. Just a little more background..
You don't seem to deserve the respect you demand, when you dismiss people that criticise MO, and send them back to WoW. I never played WoW beyond the trial, and I never will.
We are NOT haters of MO, and for sure, no one pays me to professionaly "hate" the game. We are a comunity that has it's eyes wide open, and doesn't swallow bull. Cynics? Maybe.. Fan-boys? Some.. (don't go hiding now, you know who you are).
But we're not gullible, and we're not the sorts to support a broken game just because it has a great ideea (not original though) behind it. Fix the game, and I'll run and buy it!
Until then, learn to respect others, before you demand respect yourself.

2KB download speed? That was fast. Back in the day when I started online gaming we had to put a monkey on a tricycle which was hooked to a generater which powered our internet.... If I whipped tha monkey really good he MIGHT pedal fast enough to give me .5KB (but i would be too busy whipping him to actually operate the comuter). My wife and I had to take turns either whipping the Monkey or playing the computer.
The problem was my wife was pretty weak and a member of PETA and she refused to whip the Monkey hard enough to even give me that .5KB speed- The bitch. So I divorced her and married a hefty corn fed woman who could whip the hell out of that monkey and I could get 2kbs until her arms got sore.
Then they finally came out with regular electricity in my area and I am stuck with a woman who has one arm the size of Hulk Hogans arm (her Monkey whipping arm) and I am afraid to leave her....
Ah welcome to MO glad to have more UOers onboard. Just be carefull around these forums. Many trolls lurk to rip apart anyone who dares like MO. Its best you find another forum to express your liking.
I'd like to point out the only thing the OP said about MO was that its "buggy and full of problems". How does that translate to "900 times more promising than STO"? Also, I'm not sure its saying a lot when you try to say a game is better than STO. I doubt MO is better, but the point is STO is considered a very poor game by most people.
You go ahead and play a game based off promise. I'm waiting for a game to play that is fun and engaging.

Yep, preferably one where all negative opinions are labled trolls and deleted quickly. But if you don't mind discussing MO and why or why not it might turn out to be a good game, this would be the best place to visit.
Soon MO will have to put up or shut up, we'll see where things stand in a month.

Yeah i created an account just to show my love for the game , im 30 y old now with responsibilities , the term fanboi dosent apply to me. if even time permits am casual player max 6 hours per week , and yeah even if the game was 200 bucks id stil woulda have spit the money to encourage the company , in my budget i calculate 300 bucks just to smoke cigarettes per months so i dont care spending 50 bucks for a game that has hope to give me the best gameplay i ever experienced in a game .
I tried all the trash there is available and to my oponion they are remakes of my nintendo rpg age with multiplayer functions , not a rich world where you can enter in a second life and chose to be whatever you chose to be.
Last mmo i purchased was WW2 online in 2002 and it was utter fail at start but i kept on paying and hoping , and it turned out to be the best darn wargame ever made , really mimics real warfare etc.
so yeah probably it did cost me about 400 bucks over 2 year to encourage that game but the 1 year of Air vs Sea vs land reality warfare gaming it gave me was well worth every penny.
So yeah im sure the game has big flaws but if it can deliver the half of what UO was im all up for it.

Keeping in mind most of us neither love nor hate MMORPG's, we just play them if they are fun, and stop paying ffor them when they aren't.
But since MO promises a play style not seen in many corners of the genre your position is understandable.

First off OP, for some reason I have a hard time believing that you are old enough to be an "old SCHOOL" gamer since us Old school gamers remember how to spell. And also, most of us despise leet speak!
Now, onward to the main point of my post, if the people oevr at Origins (now defunct), Richard Garriott or probably even Mythic heard you berating their work of art titled Ultima Online by comparing it to this peice of crap they may just castrate you and hang your balls on their Christmas tree at the office.
Ok, I am finished now....don't forget to take your books to class tomorrow. I want you to learn to spell so you can get into a good college. LOL
O sweet irony.
I have no idea whether MO is a good game or not, but do know someone out there in marketing shill land is scared to death of this title based on the waves and waves of negativity here, almost none with any substance or analysis backing them up. Have seen lots of flaming of new games on mmorpg.com in the past, but -never- anything like this. You would think MO beat up all your grandmothers or something.
