PS3, hopefully a ventrillo like service for guilds, partys etc....

in Final Fantasy XIV

As the title says, i hope us PS3 players get to have a ventrillo like service on this as it has helped me so much being able to actually talk to my guildies and arrange groups for instances and generally just talk, thats one part i didnt like for XI on the Xbox 360 so i converted to the PC and started using my guilds vent, think i was the only 360'er in my guild >.<

    Sony is working on  a chat based system for FFXIV SE said becuase they can't work on it them selfs so they asked SOny  to make one for them basicly.

     As in voice chat system ??? oh i hope it happens, would be sweet :D

    You sure like to post a lot of false info.  So where is your source...?

     

    What nobody's getting on any platform, however, is built-in voice communication. Square's keeping Final Fantasy XIV strictly text chat only—Sage Sundi, global online producer {and Lead Game Master of Final Fantasy XI}, suggested that Skype and Ventrilo are still your best bets.

    {mod} SE said it in an interview  before when someone asked SE  were they planing on adding a voice chat system into FFXIV and they said no sony is workng on some aorta voice chat system  for the ps3 like vent for gamers  and i thought u guys read every little jucie info from SE i guess u dont read everthing just {mod} u wanna hear. and how do u expaect me to post  the info link {mod} when the  interview was way old by like six months old so no point in posting a link thats not there anyore. and u can just ask SE your self  why dont u just email them sheesh they will tell u  or e0mail sony if u dont beleave me {mod}.

    Assuming Ichigo83 is correct and Sony is making it for the PS3, you both could be correct.  voice chat made by sony for the PS3 is not "built in voice chat".

    I dunno, maybe use a little search engine called google, or one of the stickies above that has links to every article on FFXIV from 6-8 months ago, just as I did and found my info from Aug '09 {8 months back, so your excuse of its not there anymore from 6 mo. ago is rather weak...}

    or it could be that i read it in a game magz  like game infomer which wont be onthe web thats why i cant find it when i try to rember were i read it at  thats why i didnt post anyhting atm of a link cuz if its from a game magz its probly not post onthe web anywere. and sony is making a vent type system for all video games not just for FFXIV i only saiod FFXIV becuz were talking about FF and not sony produces in general.

    Perhaps petition Sony to get a Ventrillo client made for the PS3?

    For a mmo in a console where is hard to chat, in game voice communication should be the obvious decision. I'm curious to know how did players of FFXI communicate with each other or do they have all keyboards atached to the console.

    On the 360 (i ran on 360 and PC) we could group voice chat while playing. On PC ventrilo was the ticket for my guild.  Not sure if the PS3 allows for group voice chat like the 360 but,  as long as there is text chat you can communicate the basics. ^.^
