Damn it, spacebar is for pausing the damn game! What the hell are they thinking?
Uh, what? Looks like spacebar=jump to me.
Nice find OP. Looks like they've been doing "friends and family" stage testing since November. Too bad they couldn't leak out something more interesting than basic ui stuff.
The similarities to WoW are pretty striking.... let's hope the "polish" is as good as people are hoping.
All new MMOs should copy WoW's polish. On the down side - WoW has no space combat, either.
Does swtor have space combat apart from ground battles with a space background?
Anyway I was talking more about the polish of story telling, consequences of actions in story etc. The things WoW doesn't do and the stuff Bioware excells at and whether they can create it so all that works in a mmo without clashing with existing well known mmo mechanics.
Anyway this sorta confirms the notion that Swtor will be WoW "bigger and better" let's hope the customers think so aswell.

Just how can it possibly be?
It has more massive "worlds" to explore, more "engaging" quests, supposedly "better combat", probably cost more to make, everything just screams it's supposedly "bigger and better " than WoW whether it is only time will tell but that's certainly what Bioware is going for.

So you have either:
A.) Never played a KotOR game before in your life.
B.) Don't understand the concept of sarcasm.
C.) Both

I could imagine better but WoW is years ahead in development.. I can't possibly see it being bigger.
Hopefully the quests are more engaging than they seem, yah.
Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".

It has more massive "worlds" to explore,
Possibly.
more "engaging" quests,
probably.
supposedly "better combat",
That one is very much up in the air. This is one of WoW's greatest strengths - smooth, responsive combat.
probably cost more to make,
Uh, so what?
everything just screams it's supposedly "bigger and better " than WoW whether it is only time will tell but that's certainly what Bioware is going for.
Better if you want a solo experience, perhaps.

Content wise sure but in actual size WoW really isn't that big. I'm sure swtor is going to market how large and expansive their " worlds" are compared to WoW not that size actually matters

Thats laughable, WoW is completely soloable to max level. Wheres the difference?

If read in the wrong way, that could be taken as a "I can't believe they let you pause the game with spacebar!", rather than a "Spacebar should be for pausing the game, not jumping". I originally thought the former when I skimmed through the thread.

or D) Original post was bad sarcasm.
Given all the intentional false info being spread about this game (e.g. WASD movement? OMG WoW clone! Questing? WoW clone!), it's not hard to miss bad sarcasm. Just look at the idiotic thread about humans being the only playable race...
That sounds like a statement of fact, not an opinion.
I also feel it will give you a better solo experience. A better group experience too. I like when we agree.
It makes an intetesting change, to be sure.
Don`t presume about my opinion on the group experience, though. WoW now stinks for a group experience, so that isn`t really saying much.
I just figured since what you originally said was taken as an opinion, that a fact of your opinion would suffice to reinforce my stance.
As for the group experience, grouping is based on choice. If you can stand being presumptuous ( and I know you can, as you spend much of your time presuming) we can take into account that the grouping factor is entirely optional at any point in the game. You can group whilst being on a class mission or group on a grouped mission. If these new articles are in place to enhance the single player experience, which I feel you have corroborated on, and you can group during them, at any various stage, it would be simple to infer that by enhancing one experience, you enhance the other.
A "whats good for the goose is good for the gander" inference. Now, thats if you want to be presumptuous.

Oh, MW, you know I have already posted on the issues reagrding the classes having separate quest lines and starting planets and how those will divide the players, not bring them together.
Even in WoW, you can roll a mage and warrior or a priest and a hunter and play right from the very beginning with all but a very few class quests being available for both players. That is not the case in SWTOR (from what we have been told).
If you roll a BH, and I roll a SW, we don`t start on the same planet (and who knows how long it takes before we can join up), and we will either be playing your story or mine. It won`t be our story.
That honestly doesn`t concern you WRT group play?

Kotor 1 & 2 used space for pauzing the game .
And pauze in an mmorpg.. Get it?

Hey, this IS BioWare - a pause function isn't out of the question. I believe STO has a pause function in ground combat.

this game is a complete WoW clone, the space bar makes you jump just like WoW!
jk, i couldn't help it. lol
At least that can't be said for FFXIV.

Multi-crewed vehicles, too.
I would not be surprised at all if WoW has sea battles by the time SWTOR is out.

I said solo experience, not soloability.
