I think I got into beta....

anyone else get one of these emails? looks legit, no beta key, they simply give your account access. I cant login now, I think it goes active june 9th like email says

Read the NDA. Most AAA games it's even an NDA breach when you say you're in the beta...
My guess FFXIV has this part included as well. I could ask my brother since he's in beta as well *waiting for a beta invite*
Yes, posting that you got into beta is breaking the NDA.
I doubt SE cares though. Still, let's remember that in the future!
FFXIV NDA FAQ:
2.6 Beta Tester's Confidentiality Obligations
"Confidential Information" shall mean (a) any and all information relating to or contained in the Products, Software, Documentation, or other materials supplied to Beta Tester by Company in connection with the Beta Testing, including, without limitation, information relating to the performance, conditions, capabilities, and contents of the Products and Software, methods of reporting and conducting, modification schedule, modification process and its progress in the Beta Testing, AND RECIPIENT'S FEEDBACK, OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS, AND COMMENTS (POSITIVE AND/OR NEGATIVE) REGARDING THE PRODUCT AND THE SOFTWARE, (b) the existence and the terms of this Agreement, © the Square Enix ID and password used by Beta Tester, or by any other Beta Tester, (d) THE IDENTITY OF BETA TESTER AND THE FACT THAT BETA TESTER IS PARTICIPATING IN THE BETA TEST , and (e) any and all information relating to the future or proposed products, services, or business operations of Company. Confidential Information includes, without limitation, all such information disclosed to Beta Tester prior to the execution of this Agreement. Beta Tester acknowledges and agrees that the Confidential Information constitutes valuable trade secrets of Company and (subject to the other terms of this Section 2.6) agrees to keep Confidential all Confidential Information, and only use Confidential Information in connection with Beta Tester's participation in the Beta Test.
I also got into beta but seems I forgot pasword for log in. Can anyone cofirm that servis to change pasword is currently down? problem may be I registrated long time ago and they rescently changed memberd id and game id and whatever. Cant seem to log in anywhere anymore.

Even if I get invite.. i'm really really considering not playing. I did the Aion beta and Chinese Beta, and I think it burned me out on the game. I don't want to get burned out. I want to have the same surprise and awe I had when I started playing FFXI. The Valkurn Dunes feeling, the first time.
Decisions Decisions.... Of course, this assumes I will get an invite (lol). IFnot, all the better. I am actually enjoying my time in LoTRO and AoC. Though, FFXIV is still the MMO I will be playing when it is officially realeased, regardless of which other games I enjoy. I have a rule of thumb, never subscribe to more than two mmo's any given time.
Wow NDA braking in public of all things seems they newer gamers take no pride in being ask to fix a improve a game in NDA.
If I where them you would be out if I seen this and was them it's one thing if people see it on in your home and ask what it is but out in public is bull crap.

Why do people care so much about the NDA? It doesn't matter, if it upsets someone that much they should probably go take a walk outside and not be playing games. Breaking the NDA in public doesn't matter, it isn't like they can trace the person down unless they do something like "oh here is this information and here is my account name feel free to ban me"
People that aren't in the beta should be thankful for people breaking the NDA, they are bringing you the information and videos you crave so badly. The majority of people want this information, of course not everyone though but the majority. It isn't like SE thinks people are actually going to follow the NDA, they know good and well it is going to leak, if not flow.
If someone wants to be excited about a game it is their prerogative to do so, not be belittled by someone who is obviously having a bad day. Side note, for those of us that live in 100 + temps going outside is pretty trying to do, so we live for those inside activities this time of year. But I will still wish those with grumpy in their souls a better day.

I agree SE knows full well that people will break the NDA. If they wanted a completely confidential test they wouldn't include you in it, the way they did for FFXI (alpha not beta). The best they can do is enforce NDA as much as possible, to keep some sort of balance while releasing as little actual information as possible, versus the information they know will leak. It's simple marketing, you want the community to test the game, you don't want people to see elements that might ruin the game for them, but then, you do want them to see elements that will encourage them to play. So, how do they know what elements those are? They don't so the keep their secrets and accept that some information will leak. It all works itself out and your not helping SE by bitching about it.
Also idk wtf that one guys is talking about SE can not possible figure out your account info from a post on a completely different websites even with similar names it is totally impossible to discern anyone from anyone else on the internet.
It is a matter of honor. If you make an agreement you should do your best to keep it.
Although personally, I'm getting prepared for the flood of "LOLZ DIS GAEM SUXZ ITS NOT WOW/!" posts that'll pop up sooner or later.
Yeh I know of a few people who got in the other day but none of them are interested in it anymore if you know what I mean lol, So I took an account off them.
