I was trying to research this game because me and a few friends are intrested in a new game to play. I came across a post that a person was wondering why there is not much info about the game yet, and some one said it's not hard to get a key for the game so just try it your self.
So was wondering if some one could hook me up with a beta key or point me in the direction to get one of these keys that are "easy" to get.
Thanks in advance.

Beta is down for a couple of weeks.
Pre-order the game is your best bet at this point.
The Key to the City event starts on the 10th and continues until the 19th or so. It is basically the Open Beta, but seems to be invite only. Current beta members and all preorders are invited. I think that they are going to invite more as it progresses; I'm not sure. The event allows each account unlimited time in the Social (customization) District and 5 hours in the two Action Districts.
I would watch Fileplanet.com they just had a 24hr invite event. I am sure they will have keys for the next event as well.
This was from steam:
The Key to the City event runs from 10th-19th June and anyone is free to apply for a key. Closed Beta players, and pre-order customers, will get priority access for the first couple of days. During this event you have unlimited access to the Social District, and 5 hours of gametime in the Action Districts.
In the unlikely event you do not use up all 5 hours by the end of the 19th, the remainder will disappear, and will not be carried over to future play sessions.
By pre-ordering APB you also become an APB VIP, allowing you access to the game three days before the rest of the world. You have 10 bonus hours of action gameplay to use during these three days, and any time you do not use up will be added onto the 50 hours you get when you pay for the game. Your progress, including customizations, will not get wiped when the game launches.
thanks for the info all one more question does this game play like an mmo or more like guild wars 1 ?
uuumm guild wars is an MMO,think of it more like saints row 2 (or atleast thats what my opinion of the game is so far.)
um guild wars 1 is not a mmo.
it isn't? i thought it was since plenty of people play it and its a massive community than again i've never cared nor researched that game I just assumed it was an MMO.
I'd say if you want to compare it to GW1 then sure, you have your social district to kick back and customize more or less like the cities in gw1, but the action districts are pretty much like Saints Row or GTA - you can still interact with people and group up without having to be in an instanced zone to do so. The action districts are limited to 100 people per, but 1000 per server total. so I'm sure you'll see many instances of the same districts kinda like how gw1 does it in a sense.
Although the poster above is correct it's more like saints row / gta.

A lot of people do call it an MMO, but the creators of GW call it something like a co-op RPG if I remember correctly.
Guild wars wasn't an mmo by any stretch of the imagination, the only time large numbers of players could get together was in quest hubs and even then numbers were restricted. I would have a hard time even calling it an online rpg given the level restrictions and thin quest arc which was there as an aside to the real focus of instanced small group pvp.
