And it was everything I had ever dreamed it would be!
Since I was a young boy, I had always had a dream of one day being able to drive a Lambo. Common sense would tell you that you can't just walk into a dealership and ask to test drive one. I had always heard stories of them checking your bank account to be 100% sure you had the funds to purchase in full before they'd even let you start the engine.
But then I found a company called Supercar Sensation, located at Lowes Motor Speedway (NASCAR track) in Concord, NC. I heard you could pay like 100-200 bucks and take an exotic for a spin. I thought that would be awesome! I could finally fulfill my dream!
So today I drove down there and checked it out.
OMG!! Not only was I able to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo (with F1-style paddle shifters), but I was able to drive the absolute HELL out of it!! Incredible!!
It was in a giant parking lot located behind a dragstrip. They had setup an autocross course (with orange cones) and let you take about 5-7 laps in the car. 120mph down the straight, no idea how fast in the turns (because I was concentrating on driving this thing so fast, I didn't look at the speedo), with an instructor in the car telling me when to brake, turn and floor it. And it was all legal!
It was absolutely amazing! The sound, the G's, the speed. Wow!

First thought in my head was..."Did you crash it!"
Obviosly not
Seem nice, had I the opportunity and money I would love to do the same.
Lambos are slow. Drive a real mans car, like a Supra! lol

Compared to a heavily modified car, any lamborghini would be slow.
But that's not the point. The entire point was to fulfill a childhood dream. If you were old enough, you would probably remember going to school in the 80's and lusting over trapper keepers and folders with lambos, porsches, and ferraris on them. If you grew up in a trailer park, and figured it was going to be next to impossible to ever achieve that dream, in any way, then you could appreciate the experience.
You see Supras all the time. RX-7's, Vettes, Mustangs, Camaros, etc. They are nothing special. Anyone with money and knowledge can mod any car. Sure they would be fast as hell, but nothing will ever turn them into an exotic car.
With all of that said, that video you posted absolutely rocked! Loved the sound of that turbo haha
grats on your drive. When I lived in Vegas I was a valet for awhile at J.W. Marriot and got to drive a few true exotics as well, a Buggati EBsomthing..., 911 Turbo, NSX. We had 3 lots so sometimes we would have to shuffle cars to different spots and got to drive on the canyon run a little bit and open it up next to the golf course lol .. this was in the late 90's. And yeah, I do remember those trapper keeper notebooks haha I had a few of them. I also owned an rx-7, but never had a supra, I wish I did, and I doubt I'll ever have the money for somthing insane like a LFA.
Wowowee! I envy you! I haven't been inside that car, not even once!
cathy from mailboxes and posts
My first thought was exactly the same ... haha
I'll aslo realize this dream.... someday!
Nobody with money buys a Supra and makes it a fast car.
The point of a lambo is not that you are fast, it's that you're in a lambo.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
I drove a club owner's Lam down here and I mean I got an erection. Great car. Problem is that it attracted a lot of hoochies (it was looks > car so you really get to understand why guys get nice cars). I'm also helping my boy put lambo doors on his Mustang and on his side of the phone he was at the bar. Ladies was already asking him questions.

Wow! That was awesome. I also dream of driving one. I hope we have a company like that in our country.
By the way, is there a time limit on driving the Lamborghini?
Yeah, that's the only flaw with the Gallardo. No scissor doors. Other than that though, it's a true lamborghini. Hearing that V10 simply ROAR behind you when you get on it was insane. They had other cars also that you could drive. BMW M3, Ferrari F430 (wasn't there that day though), Nissan GTR, some Aston Martin, and they had just unveiled their new exotic...a heavily modified Noble M12 GTO. That thing sounded like a race car. It was crazy loud. It was funny though. At least 3 times I heard the person driving it miss a gear or something and it overrevved going down the straight. Sounded like a machine gun, seriously. I bet the owners were cringing every time that happened lol.
