Name one that exists in the Warhammer world.  Possibly Mordheim.  I can understand why WAR wouldn't appeal to people that don't know the 30 year old Warhammer lore but they can't just make stuff up.  War was made for warhammer fans and potential warhammer fans.  If you thought it was a wow killer or a new daoc you're barking up the wrong tree.

I couldnt agree more.  Warhammer WAS NOT, and IS NOT WoW.  It was never meant to be.  How people got this ridiculous notion is beyond me, and hopefully this shit wont happen with the 40k mmo thats in development.  I think thats part of why the game isnt doing so well.  People need to stop trying to play it like WoW.

Another thing that really gets on my nerves is how people criticize the graphics, yet they play shit like WoW that has graphics from 1998.  A horrible excuse to avoid what is actually a great game.  The pvp is phenominal, and the pve isnt too bad, but I agree it needs some polish.  EA really fucked this game good, and shame on them for doing so.  If their corporate executives really knew what was going on and put more money into development rather than marketing, they would have a game of the year on their hands.  Most of the team that was working on this either left the company, or got transfered to the new Star Wars mmo.  If EA doesnt achieve WoW status in 2 weeks with their game, they pretty much scrap it and move on.  Im willing to bet the same thing will happen with Star Wars as well.  Such a shame.

As for the lore, arent Warrior Priests supposed to be a powerful hybrid type class?  It seems like they really nerfed the WP, which dissapoints me because its one of my favorite classes, or at least would be if it had better healing/dps.  Forgive me if im wrong though, im not as familiar with Warhammer classics lore as I am 40k.

They grow during a fight, but revert back afterwards.

Haha I'm not even going to waste my hopes on 40ko.  I think if you go in to a game expecting awsomeness you will always be let down.  If you expect shit and find that it's not as crappy as you thought you might enjoy it more :)  As for wps, i'm not sure.  A new version of warhammer is coming out soon so who knows what they will do to them.  I haven't played in in like 5 years and when I did I played vamps :)

While the graphics are much better in WH Online (the keeps and cities are quite impressive), the animations and spell efects suck big time.

A online buddy who was in WAR beta last patch said that even though Mythic nixed the idea to allow players to play on same realm as both destro and order.  They are going ahead with the plan before this fall to descrease the number of servers from 4 to 2 due to low subscriber population.  There is even talk about turning WAR from P2P to F2P to increase server population.

    [Thanks Piasek for the tip!]

You should browse you forum from time to time, I was there before ;)

The social clothing is a good addition to WAR, too bad they had to remove the old textures. It would have been much better to keep both.  Ie: I like some of the old sets better than the new ones.

Social clothing is not anymore regarded as a great feature in MMO, it's a must to have. Either you have it or you fail. Only a game like WoW can afford not to have it, even we'll see how it turns in the future....

Liked the idea of culturally specific renown appearence for victories and accomplishments.

Yeah, I actually do remember them saying that.  I can vaguely remember reading something like orks would grow in size and dwarves would have longer beards.

Sadly true, it would have been a great feature.

WTF are you on about? when did i ever say ANYTHING about WoW? Theres other cities in the warhammer universe besides empire/chaos ones belive it or not, and also belive it or not those cities were supposed to be in at launch.

I suggest you lay off the kool aid as your making no sense.

There is talk on forums, thats all, nothing official has been mentioned or discussed. There is also "talk" of a new Warhammer mmorpg in the works (not 40k either), but again, it's just talk.

The only actual recent discussion regarding DAoC and WAR subs methods and options was something completely different.

Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy :)
