Micro transactions?

I gave Star Trek Online a spin, just did the free trial, read allot about a varity of the issues and dumped it due to the micro transations with a monthly subscription. IMHO games need to go ether way, free to play with micro transatctions or a monthly fee.

If APB does both, I wont touch it.

The reason I bring this up is I saw an emote and some other crap available when you preorder and they haven't released the payment info as of yet.

What do you all think? if it's P2P with microtransactions will it effect you?

No.  And my reasoning is this.  If APB is one of your main games you plan on playing, then paying $9.99 a month will be enough.  Because if you are paying monthly then you are gonna play enough to get the better gear/upgrades without having to worry about it.  Also with the recent changes the gear got a small nerf, so its not as a factor.  If you have less time to play, you can pay for hours, or even still pay monthly, but only have a few hours a week, and spend a few extra bucks once or twice to get that special gun you want and not have to worry about playing X amount of hours to grind the money for it.  And like I said before gear isn't as big a factor as before(tho there is still some).

I think it appeals to all types of people, and gives neither person an advantage or a gun/upgrade that you yourself cant get.  Its just basically how you decide to get it.  Time or money.  And we all know Time is money so its pretty much one in the same.

I would also like to point out that initially you are given 100 RTW points with the box, if your good at music/designing you can sell your creations for more RTW points and potentially use those points to buy game time.
