    It's a MMOFPS taking place in the EVE universe. EVE has many planets and stations, basically with Dust the players will be mercenaries who will be able to aid EVE alliances/corporations in capturing strategic points of interest, adding another layer to EVE warfare. It will be a console-only MMOG.

    This is an MMORPG. This website is not just for PCs.

     

    What's nice is that is an MMO that will help bridge the gap between consoles and PCs in the MMORPG genre. The players of the DUST 514 console game will be able to interact with the players of the EVE Online PC game.

    Because it's a crossover: EVE (PC) and DUST (PS3) games overlap, live, in the same online universe. 

    For example, in an all-out ground/space clash, a player playing EVE may be bombarding a DUST battle from orbit while DUST players are firing ground cannons back into the middle of the space battle overhead.  Even though they are two completely seperate games on seperate platforms, they are both parts of the same huge game.
