Looking for a persistent populated world
I am looking for a free mmorpg with the highest amount of players on one server. I prefer a large game world with many levels, but the game can be as simple as Puzzle Pirates. I love Guild Wars and Eve Online, but you have to pay for them. Thnx for help.
Games like Daggerfall and Fuel would fit as well.

I guess my recommendation would depend on what type of gamer you're gonna be.
If you're a casual gamer, I'd recommend Allods online. It's definitely a WoW clone, but has some unique features. The reason I put this in the Casual context is because of the fatigue system. It essentially keeps you from grinding 5 levels in a day. You get your XP from something say 120 XP. You really get another 120XP in fatigue that you go talk to an innkeeper to get to your real total. That'd be fine if there wasn't a fatigue cap per day = 1 1/2 your level. Basically means you can get maximum 3 levels a day. Fine for casual gamers, bad for hardcore.
