Basically I've just had a new PC built and the next thing on my shopping list is (you guessed it) a monitor.
First of all, it needs to be able to display my PC and my Xbox. The current one I have has a low resolution, the aim of this purchase is to increase the display quality whilst fulfulling it's current functions.
The Graphics card has DVI/HDMI slots, but for some reason can't use HDMI because the case kinda blocks the cable from fitting in fully. The Xbox will use HDMI.
Any recommendations?

Fix the HDMI and you'll broaden your search.
I don't think I've ever actually seen a TV with a DVI port and you don't want to downgrade to a VGA like most of them have. I'm not saying they don't exist, but I've never actually seen one.

Yes it seems you are right, going buy a DVI to HDMI adapter instead, don't think I can fix the HDMI port on the graphics card, unless I alter the case (but I'm scared)

I just got one recently and it's surpassed even my last Samsung favourite, an outstanding monitor. Not sure if they're available to you in countries outside of the UK but i imagine it would take seconds to look it up in your own stores sites and compare.
Whats your price range?
What is the form factor of your graphics card? If it is low profile you should be able to get a low profile plate that will allow you to relocate the connector to an adjacent slot. check out the last pic in this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121347 you can zoom in and see the low profile plate.

Thanks for the responses guys, I actually put in an order on a LG 32LE5300 the evening of my last post. Cost around £550.
It's abit big for my desk, but hey ho.
Thats a pretty good pick. Considering its an LG HDTV, chances are its an s-IPS panel as well.
