I enjoyed the beta. Even with all the bugs there was something about this game that just made me have fun while playing it. Now i was going to wait to buy it but i have been hearing about how most of the bugs are fixed and the game is looking beautiful. Is this the truth or lies? If its true i will more than likely end up buying it in the next few days.

Most of the famous bugs are squashed (most notably, desync is a thing of the past). The game DOES look beautiful, but it is still pretty buggy at the moment... if you had fun in the beta, you'll have fun now; the game runs extremely smoothly FPS-wise, much better than it was throughout beta. In case you didn't hear, thieving is currently not in (it's being re-balanced, then (hopefully) re-introduced).
Basically, if you could overlook the bugs in beta, you'll be just fine now. All the same, I couldn't blame ya for waiting a few days / weeks before buying, but personally I'm having fun as it is. I WOULD reccomend you download the client now though, since it might take a while to DL.
Oh? i can download it now..? I will get on it. Also is thieving the only thing thats not in? Im not a thief but i loved having to lookout for potential thieves. There were a few good ones out there but most were retarded. Ya i loved the game during beta it was A LOT of fun. Thanks in advance.
I would agree with this assessment. There are still bugs in the game, but most of the persistent problems that ran through a lot of beta are gone.
I'm having fun with it right now, but if you're on the fence, it can't really hurt if you want to wait a little bit until you hear more about fixes as they are implemented. You're not likely to fall badly behind if you wait a little while.

From my understanding, they are reworking some of how thieving works, so it's not in the game right now. I haven't heard a solid ETA on when it will be back in.
Like FunkmastaD said, if you really enjoyed beta, you would probably like the game just as much or more right now.

Are the mobs AI still pretty bugged? That was one of the big ones for me. Nothing annoyed me more than a pig who flys away on the last hit

You'll still see a few mobs spawn in the sky, but they fall to the ground immediately and stay on the ground. They still run away like cowards, but they stay on the ground when they do so.
And yeah, I really liked thieving too, I dunno when it's gonna be back in; they said they were holding off to make sure it's working, so progress might be delayed as they hammer out the current bugs.
For the curious, here's the changes Henrik mentioned for when thieving:
Stolen items will soon have a 'stolen' flag and remember who they were stolen from; Thieves can't bank or destroy stolen goods (for some period of time, anyway), and apparently give thieving victims first crack to get their stuff back from a thief's corpse. I don't know how they're gonna do that, but I'm guessing it'll be a "loot a stolen item and turn hidden grey" type of thing.. but that's just speculation.
Dang i liked it better the way it was before but ah well. I guess people were getting angry :P I got like 200s stolen from me once and ya that made me start watching everyone. I dont mind if they run but the animals would disapear fly and sometimes gain super speed.. It was hilarious to watch but made grinding them a bit more annoying. Also are there more diverse armor choice? Maybe some plans to add them in. As i remember there was like a bunch of diffrent materials you could use but most of them looked the same just diffrent colors.
I do have a question concerning the whole flying mob thingie. Did anybody ever have their mount start flying while they were riding it?
Nope not me and that also reminds me did they fix that stupid mount thing were if you log off or d/c your mount is no longer owned by you?
Yup, thank god... that bug stranded me more than a few times. It was one of the last-minute patches right before launch iirc

Also does it take longer now to raise your skills because i remember maxing a character in like 4 days.. Also Has the skill point limit gone up or down? I was kinda hoping it would go up
Thieving should stay gone. It just creates ghost towns.
I'd only allow thieving outside of town if I had anything to do with it. No one wants a town full of naked theives and no one else. Well, except for the thieves that is... they are generally the only people that actually miss it.
And yes OP, it's mostly true. There are still some annoying bugs, but it's in a much better state right now than it was in any point of beta. I'm not sure how they did it so quickly, kudos... kudos.
I wouldn't mind thieving in towns if *you could do something about it*. During beta all you could do is push them back and have em return like flies on crap. As people are crafting they find places to wedge into so they can't be bumped while stealing, and many of them will look you straight in the face as they jack you. I think they go grey if you catch them in the act and give them a push, but I think it was based on skill levels to whether they even get caught or not. Nothing can be done about it without some way to dish out justice.
IMO, as long as a person actually steals from you they should be a free kill. Not going grey and calling the guards on them like a pussy, but just taking the chance to lay them out. If they didn't jack you they can just call the guards back, if they did, they had better run.
