Fishing?

I loved the fishing in FFXI. I loved using different lures to catch different fish. Different fish in different areas. Certain fish at certain levels. Selling the fish made a ton of money. I havent played FFXI in a long time and wanted to hook up with an MMO that has great fishing like that. Anything out there that compares to FFXI's fishing?

    Wow has a similar, if more limited fishing system, with a chance for all sorts of weird items...but all in all less challenging than ffxi

    i saw the same hard fishing thingy of FFXI in atlantica Online but cant play it my pc is crap hehe

    I don't think that the fishing in Atlantica Online can be compared with the fishing in FFXI. The fishing in Atlantica Online is all too simple. You just need to have the bait and rod and you can leave your character to auto-fishing.

    Well, Haven and Hearth has fishing. Probably not nearly as good as FF XI, but it's stilll pretty decent.

    You have to craft a fishing pole and all the lures from scratch. Also you have to go out searching for the best spots, some spots only have perch but others have better fish eel or pike. Fish don't really sell though, but they are a main source of food for alot of people. Shoot me a pm if you need help starting out, the game can be sorta rough on beginners.

    I don't think any game is as deep as FFXIs fishing. But, here are the games I have played that have fishing, each with their own quality.

    World of Warcraft
    Lord of the Rings Online
    Vanguard

    In other games, there's a fishing also and crafting that you can do even your afk :)

    well i guess fishing system in any game will be good if the fish they caught will be sold in the market not for fishing points just like in atlantica online

    Mabinogi has fishing but basically it is just afk fishing =/
