router question

I got a Netgear WGT624 v3 and for the life of me I can get it to work with AC. when I just go from my modem to my computer the game works fine. I did all the port openings and such but no deals on connecting to the game. So when I just go straight from my modem, the wife does not have internet.....No wireless modem.Im going to get a new router soon. any suggestions on what router works with AC without this port forwarding stuff or any other suggestions so I can play AC while my wife still gets to logg on the internet ????

    I use a Belkin. I had a Netgear like you and I could not get it to work. Turbine attempted to fix the router and ISP incompatabilites last month, but it didn't work for everyone.

    Port forwarding has to be done exactly right for it to work.

     

    However if your router has the option of NAPT vs NAT, switch it to NAT and that should make it work.
