Returning player, anything new I should know?

I haven't played Jade Dynasty in several months, and I am thinking about coming back. I was enjoying it and left because of Real Life getting up in my face. Has anything really game changing gone in during the last few months?

Depends on how much these "several months" are.

If its ~2 months or so, then you did not miss much, except for anniversary events, tutorial system for new players, new dungeons, etc. However there's a lot of new stuff coming in upcoming weeks:
- New Expansion is coming in the begining of july, introducing two more factions(one traditional stealth-assassin and one pvp-aoe-support-mage class), new pvp aspects like territory wars(with destroyable enviroinment and siege weaponry) and etc.
- There's also international PVP tournament coming in august(bassically a new temporary server into which selected players from ALL the versions of Jade Dynasty can log in, be given out equal gears and compete in pvp tournament)
- There's also Veteran Rewards coming before the expansion, rewarding you based on your account age.

However if those "several/few months" is something like ~half a year+ then there's a lot of stuff new, including two new classes, induction system, master/disciple stuff, ascension and etc.

Thanks for the info! I played for a while after the Athan were introduced, but I have missed the last couple of months. I haven't quite gotten back into it yet (sidetracked by unexpected events). I will hit the official page and check out the upcoming changes. Sounds exciting.
