Because I would like to see Blizzard turn imo their best IP into an MMO. With WOW at 11 Million subs Diablo will never become an MMO. Why would they compete with themselves ?

Because they can grab another niche of the market by offering another game (Tah-dah! F2P?). Why would Arenanet compete with themselves? Probably because the GW engine is old and outdated, they want to offer something new and exciting as far as mechanics and gameplay, and figured they'd just make a new game.

I would love to see a Diablo MMO as well, but I doubt WoW will be sunk by SWTOR. I think WoW has way too many fans, and that makes them untouchable for the time being. That being said, I believe SWTOR will be a huge hit since it has a built in fanbase, and Bioware is known for quality RPGs.
The more great games we have out there to choose from the better..it just means the companies that produce them have to work harder and produce better content to keep their share of the market.
