Technical Problems With Computer !!! Please Help

Ok  first i give my computer spec:

1.Motherboard: Msi KT6Delta(VIA KT600)

2.CPU: Athlon Xp 2.4+ Ghz

3.Memory: 512 DDR

4.Graphic Card : GeForce FX 5700Pro

That goes for it, lately i started having problems like i start the game play for a while and then computer locks up, or reboot itself, sometimes i dont play and its doing the same thing (rarely), game i`m having problems as i have seen are world of warcraf and HL2, maybe others to, but i think its computers fault not the games, does anyone can help me to resolve that problem. Oh, i forgot, i took it to the technicians and they had no idea what is going on. I had formated my harddisks and everything was ok until today i launched HL2. This cannot be a fault of a virus or net Attack couse i well protected for both. PLEASE HELP !

from what your saying, it freezes up or reboots itself. sounds to me like something is overheating. if you just upgraded anything you may want to check all your connections of heatsinks and make sure you got some arctic silver on them, and some case fans (and ensure they are working). if its not overheating then im not sure what else it could be other than a virus, if its happening on more than one game.

Is your PC overclocked? That may cause your PC to hang up somtimes, making it heat up really fast. Or your sink fans may be damaged, causing your video card to heat up, leading to in-game freezing (had the same problem before).
