i have been wondering about the actuall cost of cataclysm, if it costs $40 like wotlk than that is $120 for your first month fully expansioned. and that seems like a lot to me
Comments
It will cost something like that.
But keep in mind, Vanilla wow only costs 9,99$ now.
When cata hits i'm sure TBC will drop big time and wotlk will drop as well.
I can get it for 50$ + Cataclysm, and that's with an included free month. Doesn't seem expensive to me.
Eleanor Rigby.
Hmm who knows.. Blizzard likes bleeding the pockets dry of the eager masses that wish to give their money away.. Many games like EQ's and LoTRO and similar have "package" deals, where you get the latest expansion which includes ALL prior versions of the game as well... Does WoW do that? NOPE.. Funny part is that Blizzard is all about "copying" from others, there has never been one thing they invented, but always copied.. EXCEPT payment method.. lol If Blizzard did what most others do, they would offer Cataclysm for $30ish.. which includes the original game, BC and WoTLK.. and possible one month free too... but we'll see..
Which company did they copy for Battle.net?
Eleanor Rigby.
Right now on Amazon UK
WoW battle chest (vanillia + TBC) £10 ($14)
Wotlk expansion £18 ($26)
Cata pre-order £18 ($26)
When Cata is out the battle chest will include vanillia + tbc +wrath, its the model blizzard use.
The ONLY reason you can get all current game content in one purchase for some games such as EQ2 and Lotro is not becuase the devs are being nice but becuase they could never sell their games, they struggle as is to sell their games... if they could do the blizzard model they sure as hell would.
the prices in u.s. is
battle chest=$20
wotlk=$40
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
Then move to the UK =D
Prices in the US do seem expensive, there's the whole SC2 who-ha too, costing $60 in the US but costing $50 in the UK. (cost me $40 as I pre-ordered a few months back WIN!)
But it seems hardware is cheaper in the US so it probably evens out.
You know why they dont do it? Cause they can't. Don't even try to act like Sony wouldnt bleed you dry If they could.
