I have been in love with Might and Magic franchise for many years and i hoped for MM mmo even before wow launched. But only if Mr Von Caneghem is lead designer. To this very day i like exploring Erathia and Enroth in MM6, 7, 8.
Playing: Rohan Played (from best to worst): Shadowbane, Guild Wars, Shayia, Age of Conan, Warhammer, Runes of Magic, Rappelz, Archlord, Knight online, King of Kings, Kal online, Last chaos
Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere novel. A great book, a terrible miniseries.
"Never met a pack of humans that were any different. Look at the idiots that get elected every couple of years. You really consider those guys more mature than us? The only difference between us and them is, when they gank some noobs and take their stuff, the noobs actually die." - Madimorga
Wheel of Time without a doubt. Over a dozen books to pull story from. A pretty full fleshed out world with interesting alterations on typical characters, like Aes Sedai for Mages, and Warders for tanks. They've already done a pnp game for it, now its time they move on to an MMO.
I would love to see a game, preferably an MMO but even a SRPG would be nice, based on George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series of books. Lots of different factions (some of them dynamic/changing), amazing depth to the story / lore, and a few other reasons.
The factions alone would be awesome like The Night's Watch, the wildlings / free men (including mammoth riding giants), The Unsullied, the armies serving the different kings, and OMG I would love to play as a Faceless.
Who know's just might happen if the upcoming HBO mini seriesis popular enough.
So many I agree with in this thread. Shadowrun and Ghost in the Shell definately, Blade Runner would be awesome, Firefly (bonus if Joss Whedon actually wrote some of the NPC dialogue). If they could make Robotech work, it would be a fun one to play. How about Space Above and Beyond? And I think they had some attempt or other at an online element of Vampire the Masquerade, but I'd like to see it done right, combined with Werewolf The Apocalypse, although I do fear the Twilight fan brigade would show up to utterly wreck that one.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.
I've chosen StarCraft from the list, but what about Supernaturla TV show ? Yeah it would be extremly hard to make tho, but u could create ur own hunter and hunt stuff alone through interesting quest lines and story or do that in group, it would be mostly pve game, but some what of pvp could be made aswell, that's the pve game which i would really play no matter that i am pvp player.
Comments
Star Frontiers (who remembers this PnP RPG?)
Kingdom Hearts
Diablo
Marvel Universe
G.I. Joe
TMNT (like the old PnP RPG, pick an animal and level of mutation)
Battletech
Elder Scrolls
A real D&D Faerun world
I don't want to see any of those turn into a quest marathon to max level, though.
TRON
Shadowrun
MAGE: The Ascension
Robotech (although that may be rather limited...)
I feel sorry for the IPs used for MMOs these days.
Developer: "Hey IP, I bought rights on you. Put on some make up and then bend over so we can start!"
IP: *sobs*
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Alot of great games could come from these IPs but I chose Starcraft, becouse its the most obvious candidate for a 3 faction RvR mmo.
CCP and Shadowrun, yes please!
