plz help my unacknowledged Tec Mind come up with a good build to play this game

i need to focus on what to buy first so plz do understand i need to buy item after item.

i have a...

Processor = Intel Core 2 Due E8200 2.66GHz 6MB Cache 1333MHz FSB

Chassis = Alienware P2 3.0 Video Cooling AlienIce

Power Supply = 750 Watt multi-GPU

Graphic Card = Single 512MB NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT

RAM = 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz    (Windows Vista 32bit Motherboard = NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI

WINDOWS VISTA 32BIT with only 2GB RAM....

so i have been thinking..

i should get Windows 7 an buy 6GB RAM but the question is can i use CORSAIR DOMINATOR  DDR3 RAM right now an it will run with my Intel core 2 Due E8200 an other old specs

 later i will buy the i7 Processor 



the big question is

what do i really need to get first so i dont mess anything up upgrading by time.

what do i need to upgrade in steps an will ddr3 ram (thats for a i7 lvl) work will old gear?

    Need to know what motherboard you have to see if it has DDR2 and DDR3 slots. DDR3 memory will not fit in DDR2 slots, but some boards do have both.

    At this point, DDR3 isn't going to outperform DDR2 by any margin of note anyways. DDR3 has some advantages in that is uses less voltage, and there are sometimes marginal differences in performance, but even in benchmarks DDR3-1600 @9-9-9-24 and DDR2-800 @4-4-4-12 are usually pretty comparable (it's that age of battle of bandwidth vs latency). As DDR3 get faster, this will probably change mroe and more in its favor, but honestly, if it's hard to notice the difference in a benchmark, then the difference in performance will probably never, ever, be noticeable in a game.

    Until DDR5 comes along for systems (we've seen what it does for GPUs!), there really isn't too much to worry about in memory beyond having enough.
