After reading the JFK thread....
Are there any conspiracies you guys think are real?
If there was one I believed in, It would be that the moon landing was a hoax. I know it may be a little old now, but here are my reasons:
First off, In the video when they put up the american flag It seems to be blowing by the wind. Except for one thing, there IS no wind or even air on the moon.
In EVERY picture you will find, there are absolutley no stars in the sky, even when the atmosphere is more clear than ours.
When you look at the shadows, they are given multiple light sources from different directions, and when you're on the moon there is ONLY ONE light source. Which is the sun.
When the shuttle landed on the moon, not only was there no crater or marking on the surface, but there wasn't even a spec of dust on the legs of the shuttle.
They claimed to have film two different shots in different areas.. But when you compare them, the settings are both exactly the same, even the rocks are.
There was tons of reasons but I don't remember them all.
Anyways, what are yours?

I also believe that the first lunar landing was a fake. Don't think that I am giving into your crazy thinking, Rathma, but the government screwed up on that one and it is obvious!

Here are words of wisdom.
Not many are tallking about these subjects openly - wait a minute that's not entirely accurate since the first time I've heard about these illuminati/shadow-government conspiracy tales was from my 6 grade math teacher...
Anyways, as of now, these entities back then nothing more than a fabricated bogeymen wish-me-bad-luck craptastic fairy tale, are more real than the fact that G.W. Bush got re-elected just weeks ago, and that his grand father Prescott Bush funded Nazi Germany's war machine during WWII (note this ain't Kerry & Michael Moore softcore BS) although I still prefer the term "Shadow Government" or "Extra-constitutional entities - Union of religious / financial / intelligence / media / millitary-industrial elites " over the popular term "Illuminati" or "Free masonary".
Believe me some even died digging into these things a little far too much. This is one of few cases that the words "Conspiracy" and "Theory" should not be taken in the same sentence.
There is no such thing as parallelism between the "Voice of People" and "The Order", there never was. If some managed to make you believe in such parallelism fiction, you are not yet ready to swallow the red pill which will spiral you down into the gulf of reality that will reveal the deep construct of the "Hierachy" which already has taken over our lifes.
All you can do now is sit down, shut up and do nothing since frankly there are not that much you can do about it.

To Rathma:
1) Moon landing is real. (although could be used to program visionless mass into thinking that the word "conspiracy" should always be associated with the word "theory" since no conspiracy has ever been a fact).
2) There are more conspiracy speculations about Space Shuttle Disasters than there are about moon landing.
Area 51 and aliens is BS and a cover up. Aliens are a made up thing that the government uses to cover up technology that is so advanced from now that we on the outside wouldn't even know where to begin if we saw that technology. Not to mention that this 'alien' BS is also used to psyche us out and make us fear something that's been made up all along.....
For example, Area 51 is where the Stealth Bomber, Stealth Fighter, and SR-71 Blackbird were created is it not? I think that should be enough evidance that Area 51 is a facility used to create military technology such that our modern aircraft, tanks, weapons, and armor all seem as mere toys compared to what's within Area 51.
I know ALOT of others out there believe alien tests etc. etc. happen in Area 51, but not me. This is just my philosophy reguarding Area 51.
You also have to realize that as plainly displayed for everyone to see, the most remarkable changes in the current state of World Affaire lie on the fact that governments themselves are not in control of their own government much less the people they are meant to serve.
Soon presidency of any one particular nation and sovereinty that such post represents will be an obsolete notion. To large extend, it already is. It doesn't take rocket scientists to see that.
Things of this nature have already been proposed a century ago, fought major world wars to bring it up-front, and still one waiting at the end of the line to finalize the "Grand Design".
The agenda is already on the table. However, just like frogs will jump out of suddenly overheated water pond, it won't be brought overnight but incrementally so that those unsuspecting frogs will have time to adapt till the time they finally get cooked.

I think the JFK was a cover up. History Channel has some pretty good resources to point the blame of JFK's death to LB Johnson...very good episode....4 hours long and nothing but proof.
Area 51? I don't believe it was aliens..nor do I believe it was a weather balloon. Maybe more like Top Secret Military stuff...but not aliens. Even though my inner child wants to believe it...I just don't see it.
Moon Hoax: I believe the astronauts went to the moon. Im pretty sure 3 astronauts weren't "murdered" because they were about to spill the beans to the public (Apollo 1 accident I think)

I can't believe that their are people that actually think that the moon landings and the Apollo program was a hoax, but those exact same people will then entertain the idea that our government is secretly in cahuts with aliens and carring out alien experiments.
The moon landings did happen. Area51 is just a super secret test area for military aeronautical technology. I want to believe that aliens have contacted us or that we have discovered them just as much as the next person, but let's face it, hasn't happened yet. I don't believe it will happen till we reach a certain technological status. Ask this question??? If you were an alien, would you waste your time visiting or contacting human beings as we are now???
The JFK conspiracy does not hold water now. It has been prooven in several recent experiments that it was highly plausible that it was the act of a lone renegade gunman. Even the "magic bullet" shot has been recreated not to mention the second gunman on the grassy knoll has been disprooved by modern day photo imaging that takes a look at the paticular photographs and video in question. They just had an episode on the history channel on air during the anniversary of JFK's death on Nov 22 of this year that put forth this evidence. Why is there so much credit given to the conspiracy theorists??? Because people don't won't to believe that a human being like Lee Harvey Oswald could snuff out a man like JFK. They believe that there has to be more to it than that when there isn't.
There are far more disturbing and real conspiracies and cover ups than Area51, faked moon landings and the assasination of JFK that affect mine and yours future that involve governments, money and power which will affect our freedoms and lifes.

Also, the facts on the hoax, out-weighs the facts that the landing DID happen. So what is more crazy?

I hope you all aren't getting this information or idea from the show Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon? that aired on fox in 2001 on Feb. 15th and then again on March 19th. Those conspiracy theories are so bad especially for the fact that they don't take into account the actual environment and lighting on the moon; not to mention the luminosity level of the moon and sun compared to the stars. There is actually more evidence that supports the moon landings than faking it. Video tape, the Saturn V rockets, the men that took part in the program, not to mention moon rocks and geological samples brought back. My grandfather was there for the Apollo 11 mission to see the launch of the Saturn V rocket. I guess NASA faked all those rocket launches and then hyponotized and brainwased my grandfather into thinking that they actually happened
Supposed fact to support conspiracy theory: Flag is waving in photos and video due to wind prooving landing was faked somewhere on earth.
Why this idea is incorrect: Even in a vacuum, when you move an object that object will move. Kinectic energy still applies and the law of physics still applies on objects. For example: Newton's Law of Motion states that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless a force acts on the object, Newton's Law of Inertia states Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a right [straight] line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it, and Newton's Law of Reciprocal Actions states whenever one body exerts force upon a second body, the second body exerts an equal and opposite force upon the first body. The reason the flag is waving is the simple fact that the astronaut is moving around holding the pole which the flag is attached to and moving the pole as well. The cloth is waving due to the pole being moved around not any "wind" moving it around. In a vacuum and in far less gravity than is here on earth, this effect is much greater on an object as there is much less force to prevent the object's motion.
I could go into why there don't appear to be stars in the video and in the pictures in more detail, but I'll keep in short and sweet. It is due to the fact that the luminosity level of the stars compared to the moon and the sun and the astronauts is much less. The conditions in space and on the moon are far different for taking a picture than they are here on earth. To take a picture of a bright object with a bright background, you need to set the exposure time to be fast, and close down the aperture setting too. The same affect happen here on earth when photographers take pictures of the moon with the same settings. There are no stars in the picture just the moon because the camera doesn't pick up the faint light of the stars.
It really ticks me off as well how conspiracy theorists say that NASA and the government conspired against and killed astronauts to keep the conspiracy quiet. For example, that the fire on Apollo I that killed Roger Chaffee, Ed White and Gus Grissomwas not an accident, but a well planned and coordinated assasination of the three astronauts by NASA. What a bunch of a bs. These men served honorably and bravely as well as the other men in the space program many of which were from the USAF.
To me conspiracy theorists are in the same boat as those people that believe in creationism. Get some scientific facts to support your theories not to mention proof.

I think Area 51 doesnt house aliens, nor ever did. I think its just still a secret military base, doing who knows what.
The Lunar landing may have been a hoax, may have been real. whatever would piss off the communists, america would do.
the government is now so overbloated that it is almost literally goign the direction of the Old Republic from Star Wars, which collapsed due to corruption. I also think we havnt had a good president since reagan, and he's dead now.
In the morbid darkness of corruption and bribery nothing is certain, those that stood with you can easily turn against you when tempted with enough cash. Like Babylon was destroyed by its own ignorance america is likely to go down the same path.

All these people who think that UFOs are real or that the moon landings were fake or that the assasination of JFK was a huge coverup or that 9/11 was an inside job or that ghosts are real..... Prove it dammit because there is a mountain of overwhelming evidence otherwise.
Its all too easy for some nutcase/s to come up with a theory (and make a buck or two on the way) offering little or questionable evidence themselves and demand that others prove them wrong.
I'm sure the media (CNN,FOX news,Time and on and on and on...) would give their right nut for a story like these but they require proofs something all these conspiracy freaks fail to provide.
Unless you think that everyone is in on it or under the influence of a secret world controlling all knowing evil power that is sending out mind control rays to everyones head (lolz) that you are immune from because of your aluminum hat of course
