Item Generation

Hey all,

 

Are there any MMOs out there that have loot generation like Asheron's Call? As in, weapons/armor seemed to spawn with randomly generated modifications...is this is dead method? It was very enjoyable knowing you could get an amazing item off of some random mob.

Keeping with the AC theme, are there any MMOs that also mimic that PVP loot style? I see a lot about "full loot" pvp, but I'd prefer a compromise. You don't lose everything, but with dying there is a risk of losing valued items (albeit, not all)...which conversely gives you a reason to pvp and get better items for yourself.

Any info/suggestions would be appreciated!
