1. Do i have to buy the architect edition to make missions, or does it come free if i already own the original game?
2. I've heard the game is empty, is it worth coming back?

same am thinking about giving coh a go again is there a big population and is it worth playing again or do low lvls never get groups
To answer your questions OP:
1)You do NOT have to purchase the Architect edition in order to make missions. Just go to any Architect Entertainment building and start creating!
2)Its not empty. Not as populous as it once was, but definitely not empty. Try Freedom or Virtue. They have the highest populations and I've never had trouble finding a team. Also, with the Going Rogue expansion coming in August we will be seeing a population growth.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the response, i'll be resubbing soon ^^
Look forward to seeing you in-game!
Hey man, just a warning, I dont know what server the guy that said it wasnt empty is playing on, but even freedom is dead right now. Virtue is a little better, but its not near what it used to be, friday/saturday nights have a max of like 400 people on each server, thats of all levels.

None of the US servers are "empty", a search will truncate the results and will not show you people that ae hidden. Also, missions are instanced, so that unlike an open-world envirenment, most of the action will be going on inside the missions themselves.
Check out the forums, each server has it's own section and will generally give you an idea of each server's community. Much of the communication in the game is in Global chat channels rather than Broadcast. When selecting a server in the game, the list is in order based on activity, excluding the top-most one if you have already signed in before.

The nice thing is that you can roll character's up on all of the servers and 'test the waters'.
Not only is it not empty, its still much easier to get teams than any other game out. People are always making new characters so there's plenty of teams going. I took a few months off to try out eq2 and AOC, and have had more teaming on one day of coh than 3 months of the other two combined.
As far as population goes it makes an obvious difference depending on what server you roll. Can't go wrong with Freedom.
