Season 6 starts tonight at 10pm EST on Comedy Central, a full 7yrs after the show was canceled!

I'm stoked, how about you?

Now, they just need to revive Firefly and keep Heroes on the air.

I suppose people who care about Futurama know what you're talking about, but everyone else is probably slightly confused.

    Confused?

The show has been "canceled" in 2003 by Fox. In 2007 or 2008, Comedy Central bought the rights to it and started releasing the straight to DVD movies/90min episodes. "Benders Game", "Into the Wild Green Yonder", "Beast with a Billion Backs", etc. This was because the show got good numbers of viewers when it was on Adult Swim. Adult Swim, was also the TV Block that resurrected Family Guy from the grave, but Fox retained the rights to it.

Tonight, the show becomes a real show again for the first time in 7yrs. The first episode of season 6 airs tonight at 10pm EST on Comedy Central. The original series was only 5 episodes long and suffered the same fate as Heroes & Firefly, it was a show with a fairly large and dedicated fan base, but just wasn't large enough to justify it continuing........... which is funny because I think the Cleveland Show is on it's second season now. That thing is a piece of crap.

Yeah....... I'm a bit of an American Anime buff. lol. Not too big into Jap stuff, I like a few of them, but I am a huge fan of most of the American adult cartoons.

I know my brother is pretty excited about.  I might try and catch it if I get a chance.

There's no question Futurama's had it moments.  My three favorite episodes from its original run are the one where they go the planet populated with the Amazon women and are sentenced to death by "snu-snu".  The one where they go to the Egyptian planet and Bender becomes pharoah.  And the final episode where ToS Star Trek actors appear, including Welshy.

What I meant was that you offered no clue as to what show you were talking about in your original post. There's a picture there now, but it wasn't there when I posted.
