From Henrik today:
Dear community.
We just wanted to give everyone an update regarding our upcoming patch.
We have been working hard on our next patch that I’m really looking forward to deploy and I think lots of people will enjoy it.
We plan to go live with this patch on Tuesday 29th of June if things go smooth with testing etc.
After lots of feedback and discussions we have gone through it carefully and found some major bugs within our systems such as some skills, ranged and some other important features.
What this patch includes are server crash fixes, performance improvement on both server side and client side. Changes to some skills and books, lots of pets and mount bug fixes, weight bugs and lots of other bugs that been submited on our bug tracker.
Archery will finally work as it’s designed to work as. At last its fixed for you archer users out there! We even added one more thing for archery which should make it even more interesting and added strategic.
New creatures in the world of Nave, we got some special book vendors in their proper locations in the world.
Attribute changes, a logic update to make attribute more balanced.
Magic updates for some bugs and hopefully EQ to work again. As I once said to answer those who said there is mostly khurite/thursar builds with maxed X attributes is now even more important to balance the stats correctly depending on play style. Both from magic and attribute change balance.
Houses should get an module upgrade many have been waiting for a long time, if things goes as plans.
Depleatable nodes with a really nice dynamic system tied to all the resources in the world are also finished and are being tested.
Keep slots, palisades and pickables are also getting a small update. We are also tweaking the logout issues when pvping to prevent "cowards" to escape by insta turning of the game and get away.
We are also looking into our parry skill and shields to make it more useful.
The list goes on but I think I will stop here.
I would also like to make it clear to everyone that any feature/fix I described above may be changed or not make it in the patch for Tuesday but we are on schedule so far and its looking good. But I think it would be good with an update and that you guys know what’s under the way and coming next.
Keep an eye out for the long patch note on Tuesday if everything goes as planned.

These two are the ones I've been hoping for... Still no word on the schlong slider during character creation though
...ooh, and archery
I think you've identified the big ones.
Depleteable nodes will add a nice new dynamic to the game.
Hopefully, most of all of this will work out as planned and make it into the game on time.

Good to hear!
Glad to see that Star Vault is working on things. I hope most, if not all, of the things mentioned make it into the game.

Looks like a promising patch... let's see how they deliver.
Can't wait for this patch, will fix so many things! Was almost wondering where they'd gone before this poped up. It's good to know how hard they're working.
I recall them saying previous patches would fix a lot of stuff, and it didn't. So why not be a little patient and see what actually happens, rather than take it at face value given their past history isn't exactly stellar.
I trust this knee-jerk negativity. For all we know, this patch will destroy our computer or something. Let's speculate on that...
Also, most of their fixes work. The only times I recall patchnotes claiming a fix for a problem that persisted were in cases of generalized problems (like server crashes which could have multiple causes, or desync, etc).
If 90% of the bug fixes work, than I'm thrilled.
Sorry, I just look at the history of their patches, the promises they have made, and the results.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist. But if you want to believe it's going to all get fixed with THIS miracle patch.... so be it.
hahahaha, miracle patch.
Why is it you refer to every single patch as a 'miracle patch' (sarcastically, obviously). Patches are there to fix bugs. That being said, I can think of some patches from SV that were quite impressive.
Their patch history isn't bad at all.
But, it is best to wait and see.
I'm certainly hoping that the game continues to get better and better.

HerculesSAS, no one says this is going to be a miracle patch.
Even thou, SV have actually made some patches that have been close to miracle patches before. They have also made bad patches, like other game companies do, like those developing HoN.
But in software projects, the goal is always to fix many more bugs than what is added in the process. If that is achieve, then that counts normally as a good patch.
So, I am 99% sure of, that after this coming patch, we will see a few new bugs or something that wasen't solved to 100% (hopefully smaller bugs that most of the players can live with) but I hope and think we will in total see a much better client/server after this patch. But no one knows yet. We will see.
Notice it's usually the people speaking out against the game that claim miracle patches. Those of us actually playing and enjoying the game don't expect a miracle patch. It would seem he just wants to set up an "I told you so! lol miracle patch!" if anything in the preliminary patch notes doesn't make it in.
[Mod edit]
For those of us actually playing, it looks like an interesting patch.
I'm wondering if they're going to implement house vendors.
Wow looks good, and so soon after release!
Keep up the great work SV!
[Mod Edit]
The people actually playing the game are enjoying it for the most part... at least this has been my experience as I still have yet to see anyone speak negatively about things in-game. Patch notes look like a nice start, I hope most of it works and I hope to see more lengthy fixes in the near future. Good luck SV.

After going through a few of the recent patch notes I will confirm that they've all delievered what they said and what we expected. There's no reason to doubt SV's ability to give us a patch with the things they claim will be in it, at worst something may be delayed a day or two.
^^ There I corrected your statement to reflect the truth more.
First month will be ending soon and very very little players will be re-subbing.
WOW this came really crashed and burned hard. And to think this was a rival to Darkfall once !!!
Wrong. They have made a poll about it, like 70% will subscribe after first month. Many of those not wanting to subscribe didnt want to do that due to server client/crashes. Now it has been improved and also we get another patch next week to fix more bugs (stability etc) then we have many more than 70% that want to subscribe to MO.
Do you have anything to back up those claims, or is that pure baseless speculation?

http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/46736-will-you-re-subcribe.html
http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/45778-resub-poll.html
Which one do you mean? 65% is more accurate but once you make allowances for people voting who don't have accounts it's probably higher than 70%.
After all, here is one of the people in that poll...
Radynj:Absolutely not, I have yet to log into the game. It's unacceptable how unstable it is.
and my observation in the thread: Umm, if you have not logged into the game, how do you know how unstable it is?
Actually that is what I mean. I agree with you.
But also a few beta people have complain about that the server crashes that happen a few times each day, even if it's much better now than just after release. But at next patch we get server and client improvements/crash fixes.
Now they have change the forum. Good.
