What Yet-To-Be-Released game has got you excited?

RaythorRaythor Member Posts: 134

I hate to say it, but none of the up and coming games have piqued my interest. Maybe I'm getting old and jaded, lol ;)

I really would like to find something to get the blood flowing again, but everything on the horizon just seems meh.

Right now it's a tossup between The Old Republic and The Secret World...

Final Fantasy is intriguing as well, along with Guild Wars 2.

I think there are a lot of interesting ones out there, though I'm really enjoying Mortal Online at the moment.

    Xsyon

    Perpetuum

    World of Darkness

    Copernicus

The only game that seems to have potential (to me) at the moment is The Secret World. Maybe World of Darkness, but I don't really know enough about the game to say.

    I'm tired of fantasy...

    Guild Wars 2 and FFXIV.

FFXIV because I'm a final fantasy fan and having a console MMO will be nice

GW2 because it looks like they're trying to innovate a lot within the scope of the traditional MMO.

There are a few that spark some interest in me, but the only one I am really waiting for the release of is FFXIV.  I have a real life friend that will also be playing.  That is probably the only reason I am excited for it, but still can't wait.

If you look in the right places you can find something about this game.

Maybe Guild Wars 2 and Copernicus.

Rifts, Berkanix, Tera and maybe Fallout online.

GW2, because they seem to be bringing a lot of new ideas to the MMO scene, no holy trinity, no quests, events that affect the game world that players influence, and balanced PvP. Oh, and its B2P, so there is little reason not to get it.

SWTOR, the story and the gameplay seem interesting and at the very least it should be solid since it is made by BioWare.

Jumpgate, a sci-fi mmo with ships that doesn't require having a second life.

Secret World, I don't know much about it but I like the idea of it.

gonna be abit of echo on this thread, with a few misses, you can see the most anticipated on the main page :P

    either way:

    GW2

sounds to be a proper MMO (having some depth and trying to be abit innovative) for less $$$ than the mainstream MMOs

    FFXIV

getting the feeling of an adventure game (as I like it) even in the short sample of it Ive had, not certain I ll buy it tho of other reasons, but depends...am still wanting to see more of it, and well that how you get customers ;P

    world of darkness

only cause CCP is behind it, not much exact info on it yet, getting a gnawing feeling it will be for a more "hardcore" RP community than Id want to participate in.

    the secret world

tho not happy about the publisher, didnt like age of conan....and seem to be alone in disliking lvl 1 - 20 in that game, but like the settings for this one.

    TERA

F2P and keep hear it got some fun combat, and they advertise with several other options than combat...not too certain it wont be another F2P install and fast uninstall game....have had plenty of those p

    RIFT (somewhat)

the visual part looks great but doubt will want to buy it, if all I hear about it remains being, its an simplistic instance grinder only....even if its dynamic.

    GW2 because its F2P ThemePark

    Rift and Tera look good.

    Rift

    Tera

    World of Darkness

    War 40k mmo

    Jumpgate Evo

    Fallout Online/New Vegas

the list could prolly go on forever

  • zeowyrmzeowyrm Member Posts: 746

Hmm.  Can't bring myself to be excited about any upcoming MMOs.  I find I hype them up too much, then I'm disappointed.  Now, Witcher 2 and Civ 5 (hex based, finally), those I'm super excited and cannot wait for.

  • lornphoenixlornphoenix Member Posts: 993

    MMO wise, TERA and GW2

TERA because of the action rpg combat, mostly

GW2 because of the Dymanic questing system.

    BTW Hedeon TERA isn't a F2P, what want I read, it a P2P.

    FFXIV and The Old Republic.

  • jnicholajnichola Member Posts: 118

    Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium

    SW:TOR

    Tera

Blizzards mysterious new project (although I am beginning to believe their involvement is periphery, in which case I am less interested)

    Infinity: quest for earth

40K will certainly be my game regardless but its a long way off hopefull some of these other titles will fill the gap.

World of Darkness Online - CCP can deliver a mature game which doesn't insult players intelligence.

I'm also interested in WH40k MMORPG, but I'ts more of a "I wonder how much can they screw this one up" - kind of interest than seriously expecting it to become something worth playing.

  • JoliustJoliust Member Posts: 1,329

I was excited for 40k but now I am weary about it and not expecting anything worth playing now.

Rift looks like it could be a good game.
FFXIV might turn out good as well.

For the most part I am feeling pretty down about the next 3-4 years of MMO's just like I felt the past 3 years. It has really been a long sour patch for this genre in my opinion.

CCP's new MMO sounds cool but I haven't heard too much about it

Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls.
