As if things couldn't get any worse regarding the information we've been given on the game thus far:
"I've spent lots of time in WoW. As a WoW fanatic, I'm going to go right to 40K as soon as it comes out. It's very friendly to the WoW player," Bilson says.
In addition to aiming for the current market-share top dog, Bilson lets on that WAR40K is looking for approximately a million players in order to be successful. "They've got 14 million players! Gimme a million and I'm good! We're real good at a million, right?" We don't need everybody to migrate. We just need some of them -- and I'm full confident we're going to get them," he said.
This has fail written all over it and it's infuriating.

Wow, this puts the 'Games now adays are just out to make some fast money' right out in the open...so bluntly.

[Sigh, watch out guys, this dude's pro.]
I was hoping this game to be something different, guess I was wrong.
Somebody doesn't get it.
Boo.
Hoo.
Ugh... MMOs can get a million players without breaking a sweat and without wow losing a single player. There are far more homeless gamers looking for something new and all they want is a good game to play.
I really hope this is just a misunderstanding and THQ realizes that they are not going to out-wow blizzard and that most people don't want yet another game that tries to emulate wow in order to steal subscribers.
A game needs to have a reason for players to migrate to it. Saying "we are like wow, but only better" is not a great sales pitch.
Right now I'm just looking at this as an attempt at early hype; we still have a couple years before we know what the game should be like.
"Oh my, how horrible, someone is criticizing a MMO. Oh yeah, that is what a forum is about, looking at both sides. You rather have to be critical of anything in this genre as of late because the track record of these major studios has just been appalling." -Ozmodan
