Video card benchmarks

Here is some benchmarks on some high end video cards. It gives a general idea on what is good and what isn't. I say the top 20 cards on this list are the best choices for FFXIV, anything else might be pushing it. Happy card hunting!

You can't go by video card alone.. accoding to this list a geforce 8800 ultra gets ->

    GeForce 8800 Ultraimage1,156

This is the card I have in my machine.. on high I got well over a 2000 on the benchmark, I'm guessing having quad core 2.4 and 4 gigs of ram etc contributed and helped.

Also my computer can run every game out there atm on max settings with this old a video card... even tho the benchmark said I only got a 2000ish.. I didn't actually see any problems when the benchmark runs.. everything looked fine and smooth.. ::shrug::

Having said that, If it can make FF14 look prettier I'll probably get a new card.. also for crysis 2 possibly. I Suppose it would help with my Maya and 3DSmax work as well....lol

Again, it gives a general idea on what is good and what isn't. :)

Doesn't seem to factor in setups with multiple pci express gpu cards either.

Yes I would say that is pretty much overkill for any game lol.

See you in a few years when I can buy a PC that is better than yours at half the cost.

I must admit though, SSD's do seem to make Fraps a lot better.

Yeah i wanted to see what the hype was over SSD , etc and wanted to max out a computer more or less with a single gfx card instead of running sli or xfire which most mmos dont even support. So far there are literally no load times in any mmo I have played. Any lag comes from net connection haha. SSD is amazing, best upgrade you could get for a pc imo even though for some it may be a bit pricey.
