Just wondering what ever happened to them adding extra time to accounts as they had such a bad release with broken servers and a broken/incomplete game?

It had nothing to do with MO bring broken/incomplete, only server stability issues. I would wager that they announce it and implement the added game time right around the time the subscriptions are about to expire.
I wasn't there at the DF launch but from what I can gather from forums, people had to wait in a queue only to have the game crash and have to wait in the queue again... Actually.... I can't think of a single game that even debated handing out free time to customers for stability issues. You guys know of any?

I´d assume they would wait for the servers to become more or less 100% stable, add up all the downtime and then compensate that amount. Very nice that they´re compensating though, shall enjoy more free time. No point compensating and then having to compensate again later because server stability still isn´t 100 percent.
just copied and pasted what i said in the other discussion on this, didn´t you get a refund for the game anyway? Assuming you wouldn´t be entitled to the compensated time if you did...
3 days still the end of the first month, when renewals will hit, and they have not said anything.

well personally you won´t get billed right? meaning you won´t have an issue. If they get charged for next month, free time will simply be added to that. no problem.
People should have to pay for another month "hoping" to get the compensation eventually?

I don´t understand, why must the compensation be given at the exact time the first month ends?

When should they give it? After people don't resub and quit? That would make lots of sense wouldn't it? Of course that would be totally in line with everything else SV has done for the last year.
Sebastian responded yesterday (2 days from the end of the first month) and today is the last day and they still have not said anything...

Is that for all accounts or only those that resub? I'm confused by the use of Active Accounts.. as, since it's the first month.. all accounts should be "active".

An entire month ruined ? Sounds like a gross exageration to me. 5 days was generous.
14 days minimum for the pathetic release IMO

They've compensated us for the unscheduled downtime and that's all we should get because after all it was compensation not an extension of the free month.
Its not "free" you paid $$$ for the game.
And, given the total downtime, 5 days is absolutely adequate compensation, in my opinion.

Yes you paid for the game but the the first month is free because a months subscription usual costs $$$ too.
