Questions, maybe I am missing something.

So I picked up APB.. I just could not wait.  Anyway great game so far I really enjoy it.  However I feel like I missed a huge chuck of the turorial or something who knows maybe I was not paying attention but I have some questions you may be able to help me with:

1. Are there clans or guilds etc? I see people recruiting here but I am yet to see anyone with any sort of a clan tag.

2. Your rank is indicated in the lower right hand corner I assume at least I think that's what that big "R" is.. you just get xp points by completing missions and killing people?

3. As an enforcer I see some people have cars with sirens etc... actually as a criminal or enforcer you can have your own cars how do you deploy that car?  As opposed to jacking someone elses?

4. When you visit the person you have been doing faction missions for some items are locked... is there any way you can figure out when they will be unlocked? Assuming they unlock at a certain level or rank for that faction?

I am sure I will have some more questions but those are the basics.

    1. Clan names are under the name, to join one you gotta get invited, or ask the leader to join.

    2. The 'R' means Rating, that is basiclly your level of progression, the higher you go the more stuff you unlock. To advance yes you do missions and kill people.

    3. You spawn your own car at Car Parks and Garages Ther is a machine type thing you click on that spawns it (Pro tip: check your map and enable all the legend on the right, to show up on the map there must be a tick next to it)

    4. Alot of stuff which is locked has a red box with a padlock in it, mouse over the red box it will tell you when you unlock it, to unlock stuff you need to do several things:  A) gaining faction levels. B) Gaining Contact levels C) Gaining Rating D) spending time in the customizers e.g Car/Character booths in social.

Put your reticle over someone, it will say their clan name under their characters name (if they are in a clan). To open clan menus and the like, click U (by default).

    2. Your rank is indicated in the lower right hand corner I assume at least I think that's what that big "R" is.. you just get xp points by completing missions and killing people?

The little R is just your rank, like you said. It's a bit useless, as you unlock things by leveling your contact reputation.

    3. As an enforcer I see some people have cars with sirens etc... actually as a criminal or enforcer you can have your own cars how do you deploy that car?  As opposed to jacking someone elses?

Click I. This is your inventory. Here you can see what vehicle you can deploy. To change said vehicle, buy a new one from a contact or the marketplace. While in action districts, walk up to a vehicle spawn terminal thing (they're near gas stations and next to contacts) and hit F to spawn.

    4. When you visit the person you have been doing faction missions for some items are locked... is there any way you can figure out when they will be unlocked? Assuming they unlock at a certain level or rank for that faction?

Highlight over the red lock symbol. Some items don't tell you.

That brings up a different question. I see people leveling tuner and fashionistaall the time.  What are they!?

Fashionista is the clothes customisation... The more you add stuff to clothes the more XP you get in that department. You unlock new decals and clothes with it..

Same thing with the tuning. Spend some time customising cars and you'll unlock new equipement (sirens, body parts, rims..)

You can buy stuff you haven't unlocked yet from the marketplace as well (get a N-tec as soon as possible from the marketplace as it seems to be overpowered right now).
