I'm so sick of people calling troll everytime someone voices an opinion they don't agree with.

    Let me help you out here, first of all posting like this is against forum rules.

    Secondly perhaps you do not understand what trolling is, here lets use wikipedia

    - Trolling - In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.    -Taken from Wikipedia

     

    So if you say something that is intended to make someone else upset that is trolling to an extent.  Many people don't understand that being sarcastic can be considered trolling too.

    The point is that people should all just play nice, and if we all voice our opinions in a polite and respectful manner then no one will take things the wrong way or be upset over what we have said.

    I am just happy Trolls are not a playable race in this game ;)

     Depends on how and where they say it.  A Republican going to the DNC and shouting in a group of people how the Democrats suck is a troll.  A Republican in a varied group of people (politically varied) politely discussing the shortcomings of the Democratic party is most likely not.  Just because you have the "right" to say anything you want doesn't mean you should.

    I hate the way people, misspell the word trolls, type in all caps, make new threads in the FFXIV forums that have nothing to do with the game. Wonder if there is a single word to describe people like that?
