APB =CTD

They should call it CTD not APB. The game has the worst stability of any MMO I've ever played. Constant crashes. I have a new quad core rig, ATI 5800, Windows 7 64 bit, updated drivers, 4 gigs of ram, updated my virtual memory, run it windowed on low and it still constantly crashes.

And I'm not alone judging from the APB forums.

I saw that the developer took issue with the negative reviews the game is getting, this from  an article on another gaming site.

He claimed the game is for high end machines.

Dude, don't make a game that $3,000 PC's can't run. I shouldn't need a NASA computer just to play this game.

The guy must be clueless.

Too bad cause the game can be fun when you can play it.

Wonder if they did something to the game after beta.  Other than your vidcard, I'm running pretty much the same rig and never had in CTD's in beta.  I have a GTX260.

Actually the game might have problems with certain cards or drivers. Just because it did not happen to you does not mean it directly is the fault of the user.

I was running the game on max settings getting 60 FPS in beta and still crashed constantly. Crash is not related to your computer, the game is poorly optimized, but if thats your biggest problem with the game then I don't know what to tell you. If the extreme lack of content,  the money grab over priced payment model, the complete lack of balance, RTW completely ignoring their beta testers, or any of 100 other things wrong didn't stop you from getting this game, then I highly doubt a few crashes will make you quit.

No idea what's going on with you.  I have a 2.5 year old computer.  Dual core, 9800gtx, 8 gigs of ram.  It runs okay on even maximum.  I've only crashed one time.  I've only encontered lag a handful of times.  The servers are never down and never crash.  This is just my experience.  I've used up over 40 of my 50 hours so it isn't like I haven't played enough.

My setup is a bit less buff than yours and I'm running it just fine. And I'm talking about hardware that cost me about 600 bucks.

no prob to me either nvidia 8800GT here never crash or any kind of problem
