What I want.

noobletonoobleto Member Posts: 33

This is what I want from this game... I want that magical feeling I had when I first moved my character in Everquest and knew that I was in love with mmorpgs. The emotion will be much more experienced and mature but the feeling will be a sense of wonder and enjoyment like im discovering a new world.

That is all.

So what are you looking for in this game?

the world to move me...the events that have been described to me by the devs to play out just like they have told us..

the PvP to bring me back to a better time, a DAoC time a 3 faction game running in an Open world setting (setting is the key as it will be a different area then the main world) and truly feeling the RTS elements in the Mists.

for the social experience to come back in the MMORPG world, to just be able to talk to people and have it not all be about business. This will help if my old guild would come back together but I'm a hopeful thinker.

For the story line to be purely epic and for it to take a long time in your starting area, for the story of your race to really be explained.

and for it just to be as magical as the first one, being stuck in the snow and remembering the sight of grass in pre-searing and then hitting the beach in kryta and feeling something when you finally saw grass again.

    this and more

I just want the devs to keep their promises which is (as even they stated) 99% guaranteed;)

I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them

Yeah, I just want the devs to keep their promises. If they could do that, well, I'm happy.

I'm probably one of those people who just get wet.

I think having a character thats unique is very important for the adventure they are giving us, with more than half the attack skills being the same as everyone else using your weapon, do you think we'll still get the sense of individualism to tell us apart while in fighting sequences? Also with fighting sequences there are many available combinations skills offer... do you think some combinations will be overused? Thats what I want... the ability to do things my way because I think its fun.

Well if theres one developer that could do what the op said, its arenanet.  There very reliant, and inovative not holding back when they bring new ideas to there game.  From watching there previews, I want there pve envirement, in all of its areanet goodness.  I want what made gw1 good, to make gw2 even better.  I Want the story to interweve with the playerbase even more then gw1 did.  I want pvp thats enhanced from the great pvp system gw1 had.  I want even more features like being able to view everyones pvp matches in gw1. MAybee they could add some type of pvp system where people play as monsters in dungeons when players roll through with there groups.  That would be kinda cool.

Theres alot of things Id like out of gw2, and im sure areanet will deliever with flying aces.

I don't think we will need to worry too much about not having unique characters considering each class will have around 100 Traits which impact various skills and allow a huge variety of specs/builds. On top of that, you can also freely change them anywhere/anytime so long as you're out of combat (rather than returning to town like in GW1) so you can create a few different builds that you like for certain content or simply create unique builds for the sake of being different, and then switch them around as needed in groups to stay unique. Along with this you've also got the racial skills and environmental weapons which will add to the variety.

    Hey,

This seems great! I don't really even know how to respond other than I'm really excited to see what they do with these elements in guild wars 2. There will be ALOT of experimenting going on which I think is perfect... unlike games like WoW which you have a small set of skill that everyone else in the game knows you have. Well hopefully they'll release more about this topic having a short in-game battle scene showing a little bit about fighting skill combinations and environmental weapons and things of that nature. Anyhow I'm happy.
