Which game will be better?
Oh.. dang.. I guess we should look at the ratings on the front page of MMoRPG as a small hint considering about 1-200 more ppl set a rating to EQ2 than WoW I'd imagine WoW must be pretty good.
It's just too bad SoE tried so hard... =

currently playing both. Personaly I enjoy eq2 more and will probably end my WoW subscription before my card gets charged.
as a side note: Britney Spears has sold millions of albums and is one of the most popular recording artists today.... By your reasoning, she is a good singer.

Funny how so many people hate EQ with a passion, yet I'm willing to bet that 80% (at least) of those haters have never even played 1 or 2.
EverQuest Live deffinatley set the standard for all MMORPGs, and I believe EQ2 has done that again. Something Blizzard can hardly claim.
Aye you're absolutely right! WoW got a much higher rating. You know why? Because of WoW fanbois like you that totally downrate EQ2 without even having played it, while us EQ2 players really can't be arsed.
Just two days ago I was a fan of both EQ2 and WoW, but because of people like you, I'm not going to get WoW. MMORPG communities should be fun and friendly, not childish idiots.
If you've played over a year then they obviously did something right. And those are the standards I'm talking about.
They hate it because they can't beat it. No matter how much they rant and rave and post BS and whine to mommie, and no matter how many bazillion copies WOW has sold, WOW is still kid stuff and EQ2 is still an adult game. Nothing they can do about it, so they will whine until the end of time because it's the only thing they know how to do. Too bad .......................... I guess.

EQ 2 is the far better game in grafics, quests, dungeoncrawlings, wow is better for soloing, faster lvl to highendcontent and pvp...

I've played EQ2 in beta for a while, and because the shop messed up my order twice, im getting it monday.
But EQ2 is a LOT different from SWG.

And as for the community, I've played almost every MMO out there and EQ2 has without a doubt the worst community I've ever seen, full of unhelpful selfish elitists. I find the WoW community to be populated by real people who may sometimes say things I don't like but I don't use each and every occurrence to burst into tears and act like my sensibilities have been shocked to the core. There's an ignore feature, which I'm grateful for and would be even more grateful for if EQ2 was the only computer game on the planet and I was forced to play that.
How long did you play it? For the newbie Island sucks indeed. But other then that its great, and the majority that actually played it kind of likes it, although some say it gets boring after 2 weeks.
I actually Liked EQLive but it got old after 4 yrs. I tried Wow beta but I just could not stand the artwork. Looked like childs play to me for this day and age. The graphics on EQ2 just blow me away. Good for soloing or grping and an ass load of quest to partake in.
Hell I even got my wife to play which I never would of imagined, she hated eq1. The only thing eq2 is missing is pvp and the way to sell things can be greatly improved.
And for the guy who said his friend etc etc that eq2 is like swg. That basicly meant either he never played swg or he has never played eq2.
while i cant agree that its a terrible game,and its to early (for me) to decide wether or not i will stay with it,i must admit to feeling sometimes a little ...hmm bored?,i am a very casual gamer and play games with my wife we been playing EQ2 for 2 weeks now almost everynight and it hasnt clicked yet,i do like it and wont cancel my subs yet,but when i think back to DAOC at the start after 2 weeks i was hooked.
I havent played beta of WoW and as i am in UK i got a 2/3 month wait for that so i cant comment on wether that is any better or worse than EQ2,i would say tho(this is a gut feeling,no factual basis) that the game will be filled with leet gamers and a lot of dude speak,that for me wouldnt be desireable,i will of course try the game out tho and could comment more on that after trying it.
Lets be honest the millions of threads on which is better are doomed to failiure as these sort of games take at least a year to settle down community,support and the like,so lets all just go away and play and all come back in 1 year and then talk about it
Why does it matter about what game is better? Its a subjective thing, no one can say with absolute clarity and certainy which game is better overall for the masses.
Even the most generally accepted "poor" game has followers who think its the shiznit. I know I have "trolled" a bit before to tork off the WoW negative posting to EQ2, but isn't this getting a bit old?
Besides a new game will always be released, and then the flame wars begin anew about if its better than EQ2 or WoW.
I'd rather see posts about how a developer can improve their game than this, just my opinion
