I havent followed the whole story from the beginning, but I get the feeling that they are about to add this PLEX (30 days of subscription) item to their live server.
I know that you, as a player, may buy subscription cards and trade them in the game for cash, well this makes the whole process easier. Now you can't really say that you have been scammed and given the wrong code for the 30 days. (If its that how it work, only heard it by word of mouth from a friend)
So as I see it PLEX is just implemented to easy up the workload for the gamemasters who handle those people who scam.
A lot of but and if's, thought you'll have to think that there is other things behind than just losing the item in 0.0 space.
you should have been able to always move your PLEX around to make it easyer to sell, either way another "Risk thing" added wich is fine but no extra fun and still would take about 40 min to move it pretty much. Everything take so long to do in EVE and you never get to the actual fun untill you are burnt out and it's too late. people only play thins game to learn it and then either quit out of b orrdom or be a slave to some group of players in some corp. let me know when something is actualy fun and you can actualy play the fun parts.
Well, as far as I could perhaps tell from my limited EVE-xperience...
- Players are currently taking PLEX around the universe with only their, probably quite cheap, ships to lose, because PLEX is a 'special' item that can't be destroyed/looted/whatever.
- This is making trading of PLEX a bit unrealistic, it's like saying gold is special, if you raid my caravan, you can take all of my silver, my food, my horses, you can even destroy the caravan, but the gold stays with me and can never be destroyed no matter how much you burn my body.
- Removing this initial safety measure (as, when they first introduced PLEX, they likely knew they were already dipping their feet into dangerous ground) will make PLEX an item just like any other, that can be taken from players or destroyed, removing that wierd safety net that made players really enjoy sending in cheap ships with PLEX onboard into low sec space for easy cash
You have obviously never bought nor sold PLEX and couldn't even take a few minutes to read up on it before posting. Currently players cannot undock with PLEX in their cargoholds so of course there is no way to destroy or loot PLEX since it cannot leave the station from which it is created/purchased.
Why do people post nonsense about things they know nothing about?
