Nah, I just saw it and thought, how stupid can editors be?
Seems like a smart headline to me, the only people they offended are the track stars themselves, and it's enough to catch the attentions of people who don't give a shit about track events. Like basically... everyone. They basically tricked tons of people into clicking on it, sm-ooo-art.

Offending track stars is really fun. They're famous athletes, but unless they throw Shot Put/Discus/Hammer/Javelin, they're usually too lithe and nimble to actually do any damage to you. They're so super-charged for running, or running and jumping, or the ever popular "running with a big pole to help you jump," that they've got like no body fat, and tip over in a stiff breeze. It's like poking a really angry cat that's been declawed, it's mad but it really can't do much more than scratch up your arm.

Are you the guy that left a comment on that site saying they would have been better off making a racist joke than a gay one?

My favorite comment:
“I was a little sloppy out of the blocks, but I was able to hold on.”
Someone was having fun this weekend.

I found it amusing. They seem to have fun with his name often.
