    The moment I played KOTOR while subbed to SWG was when I wanted an Old Republic based MMO.

     

    edit: guess I'll elaborate a bit. I think KOTOR had the right story/time period for an MMO. I often wished SWG was TOR because it would have justified a bunch of Jedi/Sith running around and give some more creative possibilities to the story, places, etc.

    I voted "Second Coming of STO".  which really is a poor choice for a poll answer.

     

    What I mean by "Second Coming of STO" is that I will buy it based on the IP and story alone, but I don't expect to sub to it or for it to be entertaining for more than a month or two.  Based on current info anyway.

    I voted yes. Seems like it will be a fun and solid game. Beyond that I think to much remains behind close curtains to really make a well informed decision on it. Still nothing on PvP other than that Bioware has stated there will be PvP.  Crafting is a question mark, space travel and ships are in space combat though remains to be seen. Hearing good things about the AI so far  they actually hide, use cover , go get friends to help after you kill some of them nothing really new but its nice to have.

    Thanks for the input, guys.  blah blah blah about not being a scientific poll, so few users, etc, but it's kinda heartening to see how many people seem actually open to the idea given all the negativity about the info we have on this game.

    I'm def planning on trying it out. At the very worst I think it will be WoW with Star Wars skin, and since WoW can keep me entertained for a few months before I unsub and I'm a huge star wars fan so I think it'll make me geek out for at least a good while; that's my assumption of the very least of what this game has the potential to be, with a new MMO home being the heights of that :)

    waiting for a free trial.  i've been burned by many an mmo as of late.  not wasting my money anymore.

    There wont' be a free trial. You might as well look for somethign else to play.

    don't care if there's not one at launch.  but there will be a trial eventually.  then, i'll try it.
