Indeed since it was a series, you would think that it would follow the same rules and stuff.
Imagine if you will a movie about Spider Man, let us just call it Spider Man 4 and when the movie started it was Wolverine that played the lead role instead of Spider Man, but wait that does not look right. Now FF comes out and then a second one comes out then a third and so on an so forth, and like the 5th one is like a totaly different game well it would be just strange ok, it would not fall into the series.
But I did enjoy the FF Tactics games they where fun. And I did not play the others, I was not into RPG's when the FF games where coming out, I started out RPG's later but I did play FFVII and like it a lot, and I did try some of the other and they where ok, but for the most part I stayed away from FF games until I started playing FFXI.
No, I'm wrong? I only played three games in the entire series...
No your absolutly right. For the most part none of the Final Fantasy games have anything to do with one another. That;s why I think it's funny you brought it up.
Where they RGP's? Where they based on Final Fantasy? They can't follow each other really if it was the final fantasy, a new world with its own Final Fantasy has to be created lol. But all in all they where RPG's!
'Cause it's our only hope for an MMO that doesn't cater to the casuals.
It does.
I'm glad for this though. I don't have the same amount of time that I did when FFXI came out so I can't grind for 8hrs straight anymore. I have a real job now and a family that I have to spend some time with you know?

Based on your beta experience or them saying it will? I'm sure SE's definition of casual still isn't even close to modern-MMO casual, lol.
People with 1-2h of playtime a day can advance in the game just fine.
That's their definition.
It's the only logical path for a big company to take. I would be willing to bet that casual players make up at least 75% of the MMO population. More players = more money.
