I understand the benchmarks isn't too accurate since it could be based on an older alpha version rip from the game but I believe, just as it claims on the official site, that it can still be used as a decent reference.
That being said I have been using the benchmark for awhile now trying out new things like overclocking as well as correcting any possible misconfigurations in my PC's setup that could possibly be affecting the performance of the benchmark (as well as my PC in general).
I have had good sucess with both these things. I have discovered that the program F.lux had been hindering my computer's performance. I have been using this software for several weeks now.

I am not sure how popular this software is and whether any of you other MMORPG gamers (and PC gamers in general) have been also using this same software. It is a software that auto adjusts the color temps of your monitor to be in-snyc with your room's lighting as well as the time of day. I have to say that while it is a very useful program (since it has helped me use the PC screen for longer periods of time w/o eye strain, basically doing what it advertises for free) it has been impacting my PC's performance to some degree. I had scored between 2500-3000 on the benchmark while I had the software running. After I had disabled/uninstalled it I had received a score between 3000-3500 which is a significant jump.
Also the fps graph display at the bottom left was'nt very smooth. Constant big fps drops were present every other second while performing the benchmark. After I uninstalled it the line was smooth and consistent with rare big fps drops.
So to summarize I think that it's good to use it as a reference, as I had, to discover any possible misconfigurations with a PC's setup that could possibly have some impact on the benchmark's performance despite it not accurately representing the final game's actual performance. F.lux software is the only thing i've come across in my own setup but, all of this being said, you other gamers out there may want to double check your setups (software and hardware) as well.
