I'll take one for the team (must read if you've been hacked!)

My previous post about my account being hacked was locked because of a couple of asshats trying to be cute and make me cry. Well guess what guys, YOU WERE RIGHT!  Lesson 1: Be nice, don't be a douche, you may be right for once!

It was my fault that my WoW account was hacked. Totally! I T-worded a game that had a keylogger and more prolly in it. I DL it months ago but they? just hacked it a few days ago. Again my fault.  Lesson 2: Be careful what you DL!!

The free virus scans and whatnot out there DID NOT DETECT THEM TILL IT WAS TOO LATE! I had to buy one to sucessfully find and get rid of them.  Lesson 3: Get a REAL Virus Suite!

I was lucky that I lost nothing on my 2 characters, they? just made 2 Lvl 1's to Gold spam the PvP and RP servers. No big deal. The Authincator(sp?)  is in the mail!  But just because you THINK you're safe doesn't mean you are. Make sure you are safe by usuing a real Anti-Everything Suite and not Windows Defender of some other nonsense free crap.

With this mea culpa I hope I have helped someone to keep their account safe. Please refrain from the asshattery in my other thread, I know I screwed up. I also really do not care how I come off looking; Internet anonymity works both ways!
