Proper way to play enforcer?

enzymeenzyme Member UncommonPosts: 464

I started playing this not too long ago, and have been having fun with it. So far all i have come across is rolling gun battles, i haven't seen much in the way of takedown and arrest. which way is it? non-lethal or lethal? is there a difference?

Less Than Lethal (LTL) weapons primarily deal stamina damage.  You can browse the gun stores for them, just look for the guns with ridiculous stamina damage.

When a criminal loses all of their stamina they take a knee and you have about 10 seconds to get behind them and hit 'F' or whatever your action button is.  This will perform an arrest - be warned: it takes a little time and leaves you vulnerable.

When arrested, criminals have to sit around for 20 seconds picking the lint from their belly button before they die and respawn another 7 seconds later.

Because LTL is based on stamina damage, criminals get screwed because the +HP mods are basically useless against LTL.  Doubly - being taken out for a total of 27+ seconds is just wicked nasty.

LTL is great for solo / small groups and loses effectiveness as the number of players in the game increases.  LTL weapons are also useless in car chases - so I hope you're good at driving (so your partners can shoot out the windows).

The basic LTL Secondary Weapon (forgot the name) is pretty crappy as it's two shots and reload. So, if you're a reatrd like me who can't aim quick enough you miss frequently. There is however a shotgun type LTL thats a primary weapon (again, I forgot the name) and it's much better at taking down the criminal. I think there's a sniper weapon too but thats an award fro making arests so you won't get that for a while.

Worth getting used to the gun play before going to the arresting thing.

Personally I find arresting very hard, even with the much QQ'ed about LTL weapons.  Personally I'm a sniper I fight from range, no good up close I get jumped far too often and arresting for me is a fluke.

If you want to forget doing missions in a group I like following crims around who are in stolen cars, and then jump in them as soon as they jump out, lol.. then go hand in their car for some extra cash :D
