DDO Multiclassing help?

Hello, im Drew, and I have recently decided that DDO was the only MMO worth playing. I have created several successful characters of various classes in the game, but all of them have been single class characters, AKA pure Barb or Pure FvS (Other thank a Wiz18/Rogue2, but that build is seriously easy to understand, trap master plus offensive casting.)
I need a step by step walkthrough on deciding what roles in a party would beneift from a multiclass, what roles are appsolutely limmited to a pure class, what degree of multiclassing is adviseable (1,2,3,4,5 ect. levels multiclassed), 'examples' of builds so i can understand what is and isnt a good way to multiclass. (I don't want you to tell me "use this build for AA," i need to figure out how to create them on my own.) All your tips and hints are greatly appreciated. I fully realize that there are probably 2 dozen threads about this exact topic, and if you know if one of them is very usefull and spot on information-wise, post a link, and if not, please share any tips you have, and if you are feeling generous, post them step by step

i've only palyed DDo a few times. Thiough i've hit the official boards quite abit looking for the info you are. I'd highly recommend that, a lot of those folks go really deep into their builds and are just meticulous.
Hmm, I bet there is an actual forum for DDO specific handholding....
