you people saying that GSP and Silva and whoever else in lower weight divisions could handle Lesnar are fools.
When you talk about Royce Gracie winning against bigger guys, you're talking about a man whose lifestyle was BJJ against people who did fighting on the side...When you talk about Lesnar versus any of these other guys, you're talking about a 300 pound man who eats, sleeps, and breathes fighting, against a 175 pound man who does the same...you do the math. Division 1 national champion wrestler with size XXXL fists against 175 pound GSP...seriously? You think GSP would have a chance?
I don't care if you've seen small guys beat up bigger guys, you're not talking about backyard brawling between guys who have been in a few scrapes...you're talking about trained Athletes...what you people are saying is like saying that a decent college team could beat an NFL team because they have more heart...it just doesn't work like that.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
There's a reason why there's weight classes in almost every fighting sport.
Royce Gracie was 145 and 5'9" and left the UFC Undefeated (When there wasn't any weight classes) until his return to fight Matt Hughes in 2006 in UFC 60 and lost. Matt Hughes was 25 and Royce Gracie was 45.
Gracie's last fight (before UFC 60) was against a 350lb Hawaiian dude and he won. At that time, a fighter would fight several times a night and he had to forfeit the title match because after the Hawaiian, he was so exhausted he couldn't stand up.
There is also a reason why Brazillian Ju-Jitsu dominates MMA fighting.
I'm also 100% sure that if the UFC got rid of weight classes and all the BS politics and became like they were in the beginning, then people like Anderson Silva would still do just fine. His whole professional career he's only lost 3 times and all 3 times were in Japan to no-name fighters who got lucky shots and finished the fights by 1 move.
On a side note and on topic, I really don't care about anything Stallone has to say. He's a terrible actor and made terrible movies. They were the basically Avatars of their time. They weren't good based on that period and they aren't good now. To me, he's in the same league as Segal, except Segal has made at least a couple good movies.
Wow I had to log in after seeing such foolishness. If you don't like Stallone or his movies just say that. But to say he's terrible or his movies suck is just pure stupidity, how old.. or young are you?!
His Rambo and Rocky franshises are and will forever be classics, I'm over here like; "What planet are you from."
Then to go and say Heath Ledger was great acting as Joker? seriously. I for one don't get the hype over him and his role as Joker which in my opinion was completely butchered. He took the role too serious and in the process lead to his death. He didn't portray 'Joker' he portrayed a psychopath dressed as a clown. Jack Nicholson did Joker honor.
And decent actor could've pull off the Joker Heath pulled off, that was by far not "great". The movie itself was long and boring as hell. And this is coming from someone has been a fan of Batman since 2 years old when I saw the 1989 version with Michael Keaton & Jack. Someone who grew up collecting all the action figures (over 200) following all the animated series and trying my best to stick with the comics. Heath was a horrible Joker, a good killer as a clown yes but a horrible Joker. "Real" Batman fans know this.
I'll agree Stallone isn't great but at the same time he isn't bad or even terrible for the matter, just your personal opinion, because he has decades behind him. His career makes Heath looks like a joke. And I'm not saying Heath is bad or terrible but he isn't great either, in my eyes.

The first Batman was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. I was 5 and I can still remember the opening scene with the logo.
Classics or not, the original Rockies and Rambos were not good movies. Yeah, they may be nostalgia to alot of people, but they were absolutely terrible movies from the ground up. The period has nothing to do with it either, from that period we have movies like Star Wars, Blues Brothers, and Clash of the Titans (and lots more that I can't think of off the top of my head)... which are all great movies in their own right. They do alot of things that make good movies good, the Rambos did not and the Rockies sort of did but still were very cliche even for the time.
Heath Ledger pulled of the Joker better than Jack could have ever hoped for. Jack did a great job playing the comic book somewhat cartoonish super psycho, but Heath played a sadistic evil clown mad with power and completely brought the character to life and made him feel real and made you feel that a person like that could actually exist somewhere. Which is really what the new Dark Knight series is really about and the direction alot of Super Heroes are moving. The old Cartoonish Super Heroes are dead, to bring them to life they need to feel real and as if they could exist. Wolverine is another good example and I'm really hoping that Ryan Reynolds does the same with the Green Lantern and Deadpool.
But really, to see great acting you just have to ask yourself one question about a character:
Was it Jack Nicholson or The Joker? "Yeah that's Jack."
Was it Heath Ledger or The Joker? "Wow, Heath Ledger is in this movie? Where?"
Jack is a great actor and all, but his characters don't consume him (Ryan Reynolds is the same way and he's one of my favorite actors). People like Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Heath Ledger became their characters completely. Sean Penn, is even known not to break character the whole time he's filming a movie, even off set! I said Heath came from a background of crap, but if you look at his movies, he was a good actor and becomes his character completely and entirely and just kept drawing the bad staw when it came to his movies.
All this said, you realize the Dark Knight is not Batman right? The Dark Knight is the Dark Knight Comics. And yes, Heath played the joker from the Dark Knight almost perfectly. "Any batman fan would know this".
Heath Ledger also died quite a few months later during the filming of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, btw. The Dark Knight was already in theaters when Heath bit the dust.

"Yo, Leia. How you doin'? Ima gonna knock that Darth Vader right in the mouth. He's gonna wish he never messed wit the rebel alliance."
You know, if Han Solo were just a little bit more bad ass and a little bit less scoundrel, I could see Stallone pulling it off. The guy can do at least that one role very well..and since Star Wars killed the careers of everyone BUT the guy who played Han Solo...maybe we could still have all the greatness of the Rocky movies =P

Check this out. Sly Stallone revealed that he was considered for the part of Han Solo in Star Wars. Can anyone picture him in that role?
