Reason behind scrapping it. PC gamers stomped Xbox 360 gamers to much that it would show that PC gamers and the PC in general is a better gaming platform.

    Keyboard and mouse FTW.

Also, considering this is an mmo website. When was the last a GOOD mmo was released on a console. (FFXI, soon to be FFXIV) and thats PS3, not even Xbox.

Exactly, Microsoft is not the quickest of company's, but if they have come to realise this fact. Then it's about time console players realised it to. Besides, PC's have got a far better community, simply because they're slightly more complicated to maintain. And as such, you're most likely to get a more mature person at the controls. Rather than a yappy ten year old, who thinks they know everything about the world around them.  image

I had to vote PC.  Many of the games you would want to play on 360 will also be available on PC anyway.  Keyboard and mouse makes for much better controls for most games.  Odds are your graphics will be better on the pc too.

Maybe you should look up some of the comments of the developers of Shadowrun regarding development of the game. They had to eventually work on the balance of the game because the console players were owning the PC players.

This whole thing about PC being a better gaming platform is silly. If you think a keyboard and mouse is a better gaming device than a controller, you only play a few genres. A controller works with pretty much every genre. Ever tried playing a fighting game, racing game or a hack and slash like Devil May Cry with a keyboard and mouse? Not really a comfortable way to play.

A PC for gaming does simply not give me my moneys worth. It requires a huge sum of money to get a PC that can play modern games, and even then the graphical difference between a high end PC and a console are neglectable.

At the end of the day, its the games that matter and console games are simply better than PC games.

I voted for a gaming pc ...but ...there is a time and place for both. If you have lots of friends that comes over you might want to consider getting a console so everybody can play. I like pc myself because you can multiple things and not just gaming.

PC no doub about that you have so much more freedom and posibillitys with PC then a limited console that on launch already have lower specs then midrange PC hehe.

But if your present is limited to around 200 bucks then maybe go for a console, PC will cost a little bit more hehe.
