Not me... not that much into RTS (I prefer turn based, like Heroes of Might and Magic) and don't feel like buying the game 3 times to get the whole story. Also, it's way similar to SC1 tbh, same game but with better graphics imo (played the beta)

Not me. As much  as I love Blizzard and their products, I am just not into RTS games.

no. i play rts all the time but i cant see myself justifying buying it. I think Civ games are much better and have a token of diplomacy in it as well....where as SC2 doesnt really have that, and i enjoy the politics and diplomacy of games.

You would enjoy a little game I used to play 24/7 on Sega called Romance of the three kingdoms 3.

It's turn-based and very intricate if you can get passed the old graphics.  One of the best strategy games even to this date.

You can download it at freeroms.com

Already bought Starcraft 1 + Broodwar. So theres absolutely no rational reason paying 3 x 50 $ for a 33 % finished game, without lan, battle.net constraint and upcoming DLC crap no way. Hoping battle.net will crush a lot. Just read some Amazon reviews game is not Blizzards former high standard, they even forgot to include a key changing feature *lol*

We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

No.  Don't feel like paying $60 for a 12 year old game.

no because i don't have the money to spend but I do love all the hating its getting considering the game really is the best rts you will ever play.

  • NadriellNadriell Member UncommonPosts: 197

nope, never had any interest to play it... I never played the Warcraft series either..... couldn't care less.

  • KilrainKilrain Member RarePosts: 1,185

yeah right.... btw, why is it on this site again?

  • PyrostasisPyrostasis Member UncommonPosts: 2,293

    Ill pass for now.

I played beta and it was basically SC1. If anything SC2 is worse than SC1 due to the movement of models and micro. You can read up on that at www.Gamereplays.org

I also dont like the fact its 10 bucks more than every other pc game, and they are charging me 3x for the campaign. After Call of Duty MW2 now this... starting to look like I wont be playing much of anything from activision.

Dido.  Already played SC1 and SC2 is all the same, unfortunately.

    Ohh...and its not a mmorpg.

Agree... Never enjoyed Starcraft or Warcraft... Blizzard is the master to dumb down games to the mass (Civ was dumbed down to the RTS simplistic things like Warhammer, Starcraft and after that Age of Empires and all strategy games who just forgot Civ, Master of Orion, Master of Magic)... It´s the same with Diablo, who ALMOST was sucessfull to dumb down the RPG/Fantasy style (I think Bioware saved us all with Baldurs Gate)´. The same came with WoW, who dumbed down the MMO style... Blizzard make it simpler, polished, dumb and a total success!!!

I will not be buying it because I felt the first game was terrible.

Maybe in a couple years when it's on sale for ten bucks...

    I'm free on Friday.

       I will wait

No SC2 for me. The 3 release thing makes it seem like Bliz is getting way too greedy.
  • CeridithCeridith Member UncommonPosts: 2,980

Not buying it until I can get all three "campaigns" for $30 or less.

  • OrthelianOrthelian Member UncommonPosts: 1,034

I'm torn. I want the story (for reasons that elude me, really), but I'm unimpressed by the gameplay from what I experienced in the beta.

Far more interested in the Protoss story, however. Much more likely to buy that.

When the full and complete campaign of all three races is available in a single package for about $30.00 I might think about buying it. That, or if I win the lottery because someone bought me a ticket.
