XBOX 360 Controller for Windows
$30-$40 on a quick search.
I have not used this but it is my understanding that this is what they are talking about.
I own a PS3, so I am personally waiting to play the game then I will see which I like to use better. The keyboard or controller. I just have to find that tricky Windows driver for PS3 controllers now...

Excellent, thank you.
An all-buttons controller isn't any better than the keyboard. You can play old NES, SNES, and Sega games on emulators using keyboard controls with no issues whatsoever because one maps to the other so well. The whole reason to use a controller is for the analog sticks (and buttons, in some games).
I still suggest the wired 360 controller. It installs very easily (step 1: plug it in. That's pretty much it) and most controller-based games have presets for it.
I use my PS3 Dual Shock 3 sixaxis wireless controller on my PC using Bluetooth.
