Tizio posted the text of a Q&A session held on the MO IRQ today on the official forum.  There is a lot of really good information, and clarifications on some of the things that have been revealed recently.

<[TOG]AIA> @HenrikNystrom i ve got to questions for u1: whos in charge of pet stuf, and 2nd, do u intend to make it so that the weapon used in combat becomes a player personal choice or will we have to roll with the flavour of the month weapon to be anny good in pvp?

HenrikNystrom AIA, each weapons group will have their special moves and strenght, if you ignore this area, then its a bit of your own personal likings in the weapons,





<Kylar> Henrik I got here late, but can you clarify what you mean by "Player crafting recipes" how does that work?

HenrikNystrom kylar, yes, you simply create a recipes instead of crafting your selected item, and saves those settings into the recipie

HenrikNystrom for you to trade or sell, or keep to "mass" product that very item faster and easieer as long as you have the materials and skills

HenrikNystrom it was a most wanted feature to get rid of spamming buttong to train or create something, and to give the opportunity to trade sell a special setup for an item

HenrikNystrom odie, so far only for 1 created part

HenrikNystrom but later on I guess a full set of recipe is not a problem as well

HenrikNystrom kuroi, those are related to its parent weapon skill, which unlocks it

HenrikNystrom for instance, to be able to bleed trhust with a dagger, you need 90+ in dagger, and may need something else as well.

HenrikNystrom cyde, nah its a bleeding you can stop if you are activly perfomring the outcome of a battle, player skills, thats the key

<[FOR]Thaeric> @HenrikNystrom: sorry if someone asked this before (I just got here), could you explain exactly what the impending 'guild tags' are and how they will work? I know many of us are concerned about that. Isn't that defeating the purpose of heraldry?

HenrikNystrom tharric, sure

HenrikNystrom guild tags is toggable, and abbrivation for it, this is used for id guilds, declearing wars/alliances, then there are going to be an infiltration tied to this, combine a temp title with for isntance steal a guild tabard

HenrikNystrom and you could get some interesting game play

HenrikNystrom thaer, yes you have to tab him to see his tag if he wish to show it

HenrikNystrom Exo, im not, I wish not to talk about magic atm. Its going to be changed and there will be added new magic schools.

HenrikNystrom golo, Im not sure, territory control got bumbed because 90% of them wanted that before magic schools. thou its not completely standign still, we are balancing and adding a bit when there is time

HenrikNystrom syndic, constitution is not a chanse to resist melee, its simple what it is, making you handle more melee damage before you die

HenrikNystrom weedy yes, along with territory

HenrikNystrom territory controll is an insane cool feature for everyone interested in that.

HenrikNystrom claim a land by brute force or diplomacy, as in votes, when the land is having a land ruler, then its up to HIM to set taxes for everyone living in his land

HenrikNystrom if you are not happy with his rules, then you can try to beat him and take the throne

HenrikNystrom keeps is the key for this

HenrikNystrom Lti, the world that you know of, Myrland continent will be devided into different regions/land

HenrikNystrom which are to be claimed

HenrikNystrom and ruled by

HenrikNystrom exo, yes you can, depending on how close to the rulers HQ you are there are differnt rules he decides,

HenrikNystrom as in tresspassing or not, may flag you, but entering his land for hunting is no tresspassing if you are not to close to HQ

HenrikNystrom if you live in his land, you are affected in his tax choise

HenrikNystrom and thats race based

HenrikNystrom exo, we have 24/7 watches over the server, making sure its starting one sec after it goes down.



<tbm> henrik will people with incorrect number of skill points and attribute points be fixed anytime soon?

HenrikNystrom tbm yes in this patch

HenrikNystrom exo, we fix any crash we can do on our own in our codes, but some cases we are relying on epics network code which is causing a few crashes

HenrikNystrom exo, we have a major memory leak fixed in this patch

HenrikNystrom zengler, we are expanding our nodes evetually, but not yet

HenrikNystrom now we only balance changes it

HenrikNystrom mekkkon, its a small portable grinder, where you can extract some raw resources next to the mountain you are minding on

HenrikNystrom to more effectively get resources to transport

HenrikNystrom with your pack donkey

HenrikNystrom yes its destroyable



HenrikNystrom there will be no shared bank slots between your 3 chars

HenrikNystrom use yoru friends or houses

HenrikNystrom melkor, if you own a house and place items in the chest, then all your characters can access it

HenrikNystrom bizzy, there will be 4 chests in a keep

HenrikNystrom prince, mm have you hit the 100 guild member cap?



HenrikNystrom we are rewriting how we handle the guild members, now they cost performance, hence the 100 cap, we will soon have it dynamic which means no cap

HenrikNystrom if its a huge demand on that we need 200 cap for the time being, then we may add that,

    Thanks for posting this. I'm still keeping an eye on MO (from here at mmorpg.com), and it's nice to read something other than rants once in a while.

    Tie that flagging system into territory control and they might just have the 2nd successful PvP game in existence.  Definitely a game to keep an eye on, but the relience on epic for " fixes " really does worry me alot.

    The reason they are waiting on Epic Games for "fixes" is because they are using the Unreal Engine for development.

    they are working with epic as its epic engine so i guess theres only things epic can do :P thats why they so epic :P

    The one that was two months ago was Star Vault upgrading to a newer verision of the Unreal Engine.  Star Vault got help in doing that from Epic, which there development tool.  There is still thing the Epic needs to fixes with their engine.  Like A.I. pathing, and the like.  Since the engine that Star Vault is newer, and there right very few MMORPG that use this tool.

    Being that MO runs on the unreal engine, you can't be that surprised to see SV working closely with Epic.
