So who gets the Great Sword????

At first i just assumed it would be the marauder, but at the end of the official trailer the great sword is on the back of the hume in the middle with the marauder to his right.http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/#/media/trailers/detail/e3_2009
then i read this..
As such, there are practitioners who marry sword with shield, seeking to defend their fellow companions. Others opt for an empty off hand, choosing instead to focus entirely on their sword arm.

so is it the Gladiator that can get greatsword or marauder????? or do we have no clue?

Their are no great swords in-game from what i've seen, at least for beta.
Theirs rumors their will be more weapons at release, including scythes, great swords, and whatever else, but i dont know if theirs actually confirmation on that.
I sincerely hope they have more weapon variety when the game is out. Magic to, as their are only 2 major lines for the beta atm.
edit: oh here, quoted from a Q&A interview:
Out of the weapons and classes presented so far, there are still some weapons from FFXI (great sword, scythe, staff) which we haven not seen yet. Will they appear in FFXIV? If so, what classes might they be added to (e.g. great sword on Gladiator?) Will all weapons be on separate classes?
A: I cannot tell you when, but those weapons will definitely appear in FFXIV. As for which classes they will be associated with, I'll have to ask you to wait and see.
Even with that, it'll be really disappointing if these aren't available when the game is released.
Ya i would be dissapointed also if one of the most common weapons ever used is not in game at release.

Just like with FFXI there wasn't all that much at release that being said if they said they will give it to you then you will get it. Worse case scenario you have to wait a lil while but FF series tend to expand as you go along so feeling like you need it immediately doesn't always fit with the game. If its anything like FFXi everything takes some time.

I should have clarified. The OP does have a valid question, but the flood gates have been opened for more "OMG more fail lolz".

Me, I get the Great Sword... you guys get to all be Mariouzes or something...
I do remember I read in some place they will put more classes later, so maybe the scythe GS and others weapons are comming with new classes, from the system they are trying to play here I pretty much think its the case here
